The last time we heard from Greg Rucka and his involvement in Sony's Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, we got to know a bit about game's themes as well as how espionage itself is viewed in both the game and real life. Now, through this video interview of the writer himself, he fills us in on what sort of treatment he gave Syphon Filter's story, as well as his reactions in playing his very own video game.

In the interview, Greg Rucka admits that he's more of a character-driven writer - he makes the characters drive the plot than the other way around. This is what he did with Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, bringing Gabe into conflict with the game's main cast and making it affect not only Gabe but also how the game plays. Awesome.

Near the end of the interview, he describes how great it was to play a game that he helped develop. He also mentions how his seven-year-old son asked if he could play it, to which he wisely replied, "No. It has shooting. You're seven. You can't shoot yet." Smooth, Greg.

Watch the embed below for more details (as well as awesome gameplay bits). Enjoy!
