High-flying UK PSP Magazine Go>Play have managed to score an exclusive Interview with Daniel Navarro, Game Director for the upcoming PSP title Gangs of London. The Game is set in the criminal underworld of London, and has been promised by the developers to be much more than just a portable version of The Getaway. With the addition of Pub minigames and a selection of 4 playable games, this mini version of London for the PSP packs a solid gaming punch. You wouldn't Adam and Eve [believe] it!

The interview with the UK's best selling PSP Magazine starts with asking Daniel Navarro whether he dug up gangster movies in order to grasp the inspirations for the game. Navarro revealed that the Gangs Of London team have read books like Gangland Britain and True Crime, with the whole team living in London, but of course, they have used bit of dramatising in order to make the game enjoyable to play. As Navarro himself said "there aren't that many running gun battles on the streets of London!".

Those of you who still think that this is just a mini version of The Getaway will be disgruntled when you hear that the team came across no limitations when making the game for the PSP, as it has been designed for the PSP from the ground up with short bursts of entertainment making it perfect for a spot of portable fun. Likewise, no problems came with the PSP's control system, as everything was designed to fit the PSP specifically. You can also look forward to new characters and more humour!

No long loading times on this one, as the whole map will be loaded at one time. Yes, this means the whole of London from The Getaway can be loaded at one time, with no annoying GTA-esque loading times throughout the map.

According to Navarro, the game uses really smart compression stuff! The game is due for release this fall if you steer clear of the pirated version. If you want to take Gangs of London for a test drive, why not sign up for the official Demo for free.

In case you've never heard of Go>Play magazine before, it's a dedicated PSP magazine which features UMD Games, Movies, PSP News and Homebrew each month. PSPRadio has managed to hit the press in this magazine before, with Snes9xTYL taking the glory this month.

The next issue of Go>Play goes on sale tomorrow in all good UK retailers. You can find out more on Gangs of London in this issue as the writers of Go>Play have managed to squeeze 8 information-packed pages into their latest issue. See the two scans here for a sneak preview. Don't be sad if you are from the US! You can still order Go>Play magazine on subscription for worldwide delivery through their website!
