Dissidia Will If you plan on buying Dissidia: Final Fantasy, better clear your schedule for, like, ever.

An interview with the team behind the game says that the game's story is enough to last a player their "entire lifetime." Your typical Final Fantasy game then.

A lifetime is obviously an exaggeration, but the game does sound like it will demand more time than breathing. Each character will have their unique story, giving the story 20 variations, and to understand the plot completely, you'll have to play them all. Only after this will you be able to see the game's "true ending."

If that wasn't enough, the team also says that each story mode can be played multiple times, with each playthrough providing new unlockables and options. Ah, more hours of my life stolen by the FF franchise.

» I hope it's like 200 hours worth playing like brawl

Brawl is like my favorite game for the Wii and it comes off with a bunch of Nintendo characters and some 3rd partys. Well, this game should be awsome and worth playing a long time

» Monster Hunter lasts a lot longer, but...

I still don't think it will be able to ocupy my time as long as Monster Hunter has. Even with all the storylines, Dissidia won't be last around 200-300 hours, while MHF lasted me over 1000 hours with ease.

So the lasting appeal is pretty exaggerated, but it will definitely be worth its money.

» hmm

No offense at all to anyone that's hyped about this game, but I really wish this were an RPG instead of a crossover fighter(kinda like Tales of the World). Maybe I'm just skeptical of new fighter franchises. But it could be good, who knows.

FF:CC was a very good game,it's sad that you missed out on such a good game, I got used to the hack and slash RPGs while playing FF:CC and now i love it.

I completely agree with zzk2001. That`s exactly what I've been trying to tell my buddy ! The game pisses me off. Period. Let`s say you face an enemy that dies from 4 sword slashes. Slash 1, slash 2, 3... and when the sword is up in the f*cking air... BAM ! Right in the center of the screen THERE IT IS ! And the funny thing is it deals like 100 hp damage or something like that that would`ve killed him instantly. :)

.

Same with the NFS franchise. When the car is up in the air, the camera angle takes all your focus and it pisses me off. Or when the cops spot you. That`s f*cking bull.

.

Indeed it is gay. And you have to deal with it... Which is even gayer. Hahaha. At least in NFS you can turn that sh*t off.
