Judging by the comments on that Metal Gear Solid movie post a while back, it seems a number of you guys like the thought of Christian bale playing Solid Snake. Got some bad news for you though (and good news for those who didn't want him in the movie): Bale says he hasn't been approached about the Metal Gear Solid movie.

Some may say Bale sounds like an AHOLE, but it keeps people from criticizing him and keeps him out of the tabloids. The guy's very busy and I think the short answer thing is a smart move to stay out of the rumor spotlight.

Be awsome if they can get him to play as Snake He's a pretty good actor and he did do Batman VERY WELL! :)

well... if they had a part for an old snake, I'd hand it to Clint Eastwood, the guy still has miles of Badass left in him. If you've seen Gran Torino, you'd see what I mean.

That is a great idea lol, I'd actually go visit the theater to watch the movie first if he played Old Snake XD that would be so kick-ass XD. "Listen eggroll". LMAO, he would make such a badass Snake X'D

I dont want him as Snake...he such a terrible actor...not because I hated TDK but because he's just not as good as Snake requires...MGS Movie should be CGI...to have Hayter as Snake cause in person he worst than Bale XD...or no movie at all

Has no problem showing me a %^&$ advert before telling me to piss off because I'm not in the US.

Kinda flies in the face of the whole internet philosophy really, but whatever. Bale isn't a great actor (his "Batman" voice is laughable) and there are far more suitable people for the role imo.

Since I don't see this often or at all in movies...

Why don't they get a guy that looks like a character and have someone else do voice overs?

They are gonna ADR it afterwards anyways.

That's too bad. Not really, but I guess for those who actually wanted him as Solid Snake.

What kind of MGS movie are we going to have without the voice of David Hayter as Snake? I'm still hoping for a CG adaptation, like Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

who thinks this guy takes himself a little too seriously? He's 35, and he's already falling apart. Too early for his age...just like Snake. He'd be great for the part!

i think that christian bale SHOULD NOT play snake.he would have to change his voice, like in batman, and that sounded horrible and really irritating. It would be better if they just made the movie in CGI or something and just have david hayter be snakes voice.i just cant see christian bale acting or even sounding like snake...my suggestion overall is that they either make CGI movie or make no movie at all.and if they do, then hope they follow the storyline,(unli ke dragonball that movie sucked balls.they should have never made it)
