PSP Slim Disassembly: an excerpt - Image 1Online site Acidmods has another worthwhile tutorial up for those tech tinkerers out there, and it's got everything to do with Sony's latest offering to gamers everywhere.

The tutorial basically shows folks how to disassemble their PSP Slim into its component parts, and while the process seems simple enough to follow, it certainly looks like a nerve-wracking exercises in understanding your PSP, to be sure.

According to the tutorial, you'll basically need three things to get everything started: a 0 or 00 Philips screwdriver, a small flat head screwdriver, and a pair of tweezers. You'll also need some patience, as you'll have to be very gentle in removing certain parts.

That being said though, it's certainly something meant for the modding pros to do, as you definitely wouldn't want to mess up your latest gaming purchase, right? To all those trying this tutorial out though, we wish you the best of luck! Just follow the Read link for the full details.

» Man... That looks crazy complicated

It looks insanely complicated in there, I'm going to just keep my original PSP for now because I know for sure I can take it 100% apart without breaking it, with the Slim, everything would go to hell after the LCD screen.

» Now that I've done it once it isn't...

But the fact is I had my slim completely disassembled and images taken of each step within less than an hour of receiving it, but at first I quite worried... It took me a couple of days more to get the images edited, and the tutorial written, but I am sure if someone follows the tut and is very careful, they will have no problems.
