Games made in tribute to a well-established franchise have always been an interesting commodity within the homebrew community. Developer Jack was able to create a new one based on the recent Transformers movie by Michael Bay.

Transform v0.1 is a basic beat 'em up game for the Sony PlayStation Portable, with sprites of both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee ripped from the original film, and placed in an isometric battlefield. The game includes two levels of difficulty and several other options that you can tweak the settings with.

While the current background for the game may not seem too realistic, the developer promises to work on rendering better graphics to give the game a more realistic feel in future updates. Transform v0.1 is a Lua based game and has been tested on kernel 3.xx. It is also compatible with both the PSP Slim and Phat.

Anyway, you can check out the game for yourself by download it through the link below. While this game won't exactly make your PSP transform and roll out, we hope you enjoy this interesting new game just the same.
