TIFF Space Invader v0.1

Yet another TIFF homebrew game makes its way into our PSPs as SG57 released v0.1 of his take on the classic Space Invaders.

TIFF Space Invaders v0.1 has been handcoded, and at the moment makes use of ASCII invaders. However, the creator ensures that this game will be playable on 2.70 to 2.80 firmware. Other firmware versions that it will be compatible with include 2.0, 2.01, 2.5, and 2.6. As with all TIFF games, this one is also based on the TIFF exploit and the SDK released by Noobz.

To install this game, just copy the "Invader" folder into the "photo" section of your memory card. Just enter that folder and the game will start automatically. The creator also noted that any difficulty with running the game should be solved by starting a slideshow instead.

LOL. Yay another 80s homebrew game (no sarcasm). Just glad homebrew is flooding onto 2.8. Hopeully we have an eloader or a downgrader sometime soon. But devs take your time, we want it to be perfect.

GJ all devs of 2.8 homebrew.

well it looks like the homebrew invasion form 2.80 has truly started

» hmmm...

The intro screen of this is awesome I think...

And as for being ASCII characters only, this thing is good quality, both the size of game (like 15 kb?) and the un-needed extra detail (starfield in the background speeds up the pace alot).

» Brutal!

What is this, 3 homebrew games on 2.8? As simple as they are, its incredible that you guys have figured out this little weakness in the PSP. I have 2.8 and I'm not updating again. I'm gonna wait for some kickass 'brew!

Keep up the good work.

# 14

uhhh no,. shut the *****k up man. who would want to download psp games?

by EvilMonkey - 2006-09-17 11:04
» Woot

This is great. We just have to wait a little longer for the 'real' homebrew games. After that it's e-loader, and after that, if were lucky, it's the downgrader. Keep making this *****

» ZIP

Please make it with a ZIP file. It is a thing similar to TETRIS.

by eightteen - 2006-09-17 11:31
» how?

how do you put this on your psp? its not in a folder like the tetris one

I believe PSP3D took it upon himself to reduce the amount of problems by just copy and pasting the PSP folder to the root of your memeory stick, it will than automatically place the game correctly so alls you need to do is click slideshow on it.

Oh and glad people like this... I have quite a few others im working on that will keep the 2.8 users at bay ;)

Oh and i dont have a tag since im banned for some reason :( I could have gotten this to you guys much earlier but without posting access to the forums... Had to give it to PSP3D

» Hey!

Hey nicko01 you forgot the pacman one.

by mr_bigmouth_502 - 2006-09-19 15:45
» wow

This is pretty kewl. I cant wait 4 someone to port SnesTYL9x as a tiff app. It would be alot faster than the eloader version.

Oh BTW, did I mention that these games were k-rad?

by Punejap - 2006-09-21 15:01
» amazing

wow, we can do such things with technollagy. like using a highly advanced machine to play 1980's video games....

by pls - 2006-09-23 14:31
» .RAR
