TIFF Pong v0.2PSP3D coders Percival and Robert A. have just released the follow-up to their PSP homebrew TIFF Pong. Now at v0.2, the improvements of this version from v0.1 includes:
  • AI for 2.7-2.8 fixed (single player mode).
  • Easy exit method fixed (no more hard resets).
  • Code optimized and better stability.
TIFF Pong makes use of the TIFF exploit and SDK that was released by Noobz, thus making it possible for this game to run on 2.70 to 2.80 fw.

To install the game, just copy the "Pong" folder and add it into your "Photo" folder in your memory stick. Entering the "Pong" folder will automatically start the game. In the meantime, an alternative way of starting the game would be to highlight the "Pong" folder in the "Photo" menu of your memory stick and then pressing "Start" to begin a slideshow.

Not tried yet, but seems excellent, my favorite game :) !

@6: you can use the Intellivision port (pspint), and play original pong like games

» Works Great

It works fine, and now it has AI and can be exited without performing a hard reset (Start, Then Select, Then X)

For the next version, I want a choice between 1 or 2 player, as 2 player is quite fun if you only have 1 PSP with 2 mates

» Dear #9

This wasn't the Noobz team's work. It was PSP3D's. But I'm sure the Noobz team appreciates the support anyways

My friend has a 1 50 and im stuck with 2.80. hes bragging he has homebrew and it f***ing pisses me off!!! make a ELOADER, PLEASE!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

»

eloaeder is allready being made

by Fanjita - 2006-09-15 03:24
» eLoader on its way?

Please be aware (as was hopefully made clear in the original release post) that the point of releasing the mini-SDK was because full eLoader support on 2.80 is likely to be a long time.

2.70/2.71 users are likely to get something sooner - that's just their reward for having the sense not to upgrade as soon as they say a shiny new demo dangled in front of them.

If you still can't understand this.

1) Download Pong from this news post.

2) Extract the file, use winrar or just the standard program in windows xp

3) Read the readme

4) Connect your psp

5) go to PSP>PHOTO

6) Copy the extracted pong directory to PSP>PHOTO

7) rename pong to PONG *that means in caps*

remove your psp from the computer

9) start your psp

10) go to photo

11) press the triangle

12) choose Dia Show or how it called in english

» I think the Noobz hate 2.6

When they discovered the GTA exploit they were focusing on improve the 2.0 loader and now that 2.6 has kernel, they're focusing on 2.71 and 2.8 loader

But what about people that don't want to downgrade and want kernel loader?

anywho, Great job guys, it's good to see people caring about 2.8 PSP's (remembers me when having 2.6 was like that)

WHO THE ***** CARES. Efforts should be focused on 2.80 EMULATION not homebrew for the *****ING LOSERS who upgrrade

psp-hacks says new devhook is going to be released by booster in the next month. if u dont beleive me look ant the website psp-hacks.com

by Fanjita - 2006-09-15 11:22
» -> bo bo bo

Efforts will be focussed wherever the developers feel would be most interesting to work with.

We do this for fun, not for you. If you don't like the order in which things are done, feel free to do it yourself.

If you understood how things work around here, you'd realise that the people responsible for running 2.8 on devhook are not the same as the people writing Pong.

ok, so i extracted it with winrar, and put the "pong" folder in my PSP>PHOTO section, but everytime i go to the photo on my psp, it freezes up, even before i can get to the game. Either that or pong justs starts up automically, without giving me time to look at my photos. Can someone help me with this?

also for people that still have problems.

v2 is ai.

you CANNOT have 2 pong folders on your psp at the same time!

renaming the pong folder will cause it to malfunction in several ways. one being autostart.

@40

The tiff file points to /psp/photo/pong/pong.bin

That is why it loads the first version.

I'M ABOUT TO TAKE A FAT S.H.I.T AND VIDEO TAPE ME WIPING MY ASS WITH MY PSP AND THEN THROWING IT IN THE TRASH. I WILL POST IT ON U-TUBE IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.....................

OK, first off, you spelled youtube wrong, d*ckhead. Then, you complained that the psp's graphics suck. If you feel that way, why don't you go buy a ds and get any of their "3D" games. Now THOSE are sucky graphics! Finally, if you're gonna use your psp to wipe your fat @S$, then you just wasted $200+ and your time. PS: We don't need to hear about your crapping habits, so stop posting them.
