TIFF Brick-Out for PSP |
Ó
SG57 has just released TIFF Brick-Out, an ASCII-based Arkanoid homebrew
clone that just happens to be compatible with FW 2.0 - 2.8. For those of you who are totally averse to history lessons, don't worry since it's going to be a one line backgrounder on Arkanoid. Arkanoid is originally an arcade game by Taito (circa 1986) which in turn is a simplified clone of Sega's Gigas and Gigas Mark 2 which were based on Atari's Breakout games from the 70s. We told you it was going to be a one liner. The gameplay:
You control a small space vessel and your goal is to prevent a ball from falling from the playing field. You must try to bounce it against a number of bricks causing the bricks to disappear. When you succeed in taking out all the bricks you move to the next level which features another set of bricks.
To play TIFF Brick-Out, use the following controls:
- D-Pad: Paddle Movement
- Start: Pause
- HOME: Exit (when paused)
- Music Note:Screenshot
- Super Ball: Turns your ball "invincible" for a period of time so it goes right through the bricks.
- Reverse: Inverts the D-Pad controls. (Left becomes right, and vice versa)
- Laser Gun: Mounts one laser right in the middle of your paddle for a period of time. Fire laser with X.
- Sound is a little delayed
- Diagonal collision at the right angle causes a 'super ball' effect
- Ball may appear in the paddle when actually dead because of a split second thing where you can move the paddle at a certain moment causing the ball to be on the paddle, but not have any effect

I read that title as "TIFF Brick out for PSP", as in there is a new TIFF-based bricker out for PSP.
Change the name guys!!

1.50 is way better!

as for the title, dont judge a book by its cover =-\
Do you really think PSP3D and all the judges of his contest (freeplay is one) would allow a bricking app into there contest?
honestly...
