PSPHax09 passed us a note that ALIENWARE (our forum denizen) made a post about his latest release of the SuperTux Mod - Super Mario Milestone 2, and it's confirmed working on 2.0+. He's put a lot of work and here is what he had to say - typos left in ;)

"Evrything, new graphics, enemies, music, so unds ,stages, story, sprites, backgrounds, eaven the map will look diferent, MARIO will eaven talk interacting with the game, most of the graphics is based on the new SMB for NDS. This second part will reveal a secret character that will help MARIO in the 3rd and last part of the adventure. Don't missit, more than 9,500 people already downloaded the 1rst part, hope I get the same support, thanks, and see you in the forums...yours, ALIENWARE"

Looks nice, plays alright, is definitely a fun platformer, but it just doesn't feel right. I can't quite place it, but the play dynamic just doesn't keep my attention for long.

This is quite great for a homebrew game I loved the graphix... Its the bes 3D background I have seen for a side scroller! Plus it was great having all of the Voices and sound affects.

The music was killer also just like the original mario games but it was remixed to sound more apealing. I haven't played but the first 6 levels so far so I don't know what else to comment on yet. GReat Great GREAT JOB though!

It plays fine... Try adjusting the PSP settings some... I have a 1.5 it works awsome!

The only things I didn't like about the mod was the Gravity mostly.

Mario doesn't fall near as fast on any of the originals. This was the worst problem that came to my attention.

The secound problem was the crashes. I got the blue screen a few times. Sure it was annoying but a reboot usually fixed the problem.

Please don't scream "IT DOESN'T WORK" if you don't try to troubleshoot the problem people. You are more annoying then the blue screen your selfs.

Sure a few things need to be changed but as far as them ruining the game THAT is nonsence!

1.) Gravity makes him fall to fast.

2.) I don't care for the belly crouch. You should be able to duck regular and jump while ducking like the original

3.) A few crashes need to be debugged.

4.) At the bottom it still says TUX x Lives instead of Mario...

I don't know what else yet I will have to look for any other problems/annoyences. I'm sure there aren't to many just fixing the gravity would make me happy,

Thanks for such a great homebrew game it Ranks #1 or atleast really close to #1 homebrew game in my opinion.

when you press jump or shoot, sometimes Mario responds immediately but other times he waits up to 2 or 3 seconds before responding, leading to many unnecessary deaths. its a shame because other than that the game is pretty good.
