Stakker PSP (Idol Edition) |
Ó

First off, we extend our heartiest congratulations to developer MK2K, the winner of PSP Hack's recently concluded Homebrew Idol 2008 competition. While this is quite an achievement, Mk2K's not one to sit upon his victory laurels - he's following up on the good news with the release of Stakker PSP's Idol Edition.
The post-competition build of this homebrew game will address some issues that you may have experienced with the previous release. For one, the crash bug that occurs when you attempt to load and list your MP3 files has finally been fixed. Here are the rest of the changes for the Idol Edition build:
- MP3 playback also from ms0:/PSP/MUSIC
- Crash regarding the loading and listing of mp3 files (hopefully) fixed
- In-Game platform is a bit higher now, loosing a level because of dropping a block too fast is less likely now (but still can happen)
- Anti-Cheat implementation (play the game, don't take it apart :-P)
Full gameplay instructions and other important details are available in the file bundle's readme - you may want to check that before playing the game. Those interested in further details regarding this game will want to visit MK2K's release thread over at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum. Enjoy the download, and remember to congratulate the dev.

Comments
you deserve it! thanks for the great coding! was wondering what you thought of my ideas, liked em, hated em, never gave them a second thought... just curious...
Your ideas are quite good, as well as other's ideas that came up in forums and comments. I'm currently thinking about having different modes for a new Stakker experience as well as leaving Stakker as it is and going on for an all new game incorporating multiplayer and more destructive action (I think adding the destruction of the previously built tower got the game that successful as it is right now). Your ideas aren't ignored by me, but I'm more into thinking about making a new game with of course the nice physics you all seem to love :)
