Squarez: Puzzle - Image 1FrozenIpaq's rendition of the classic Squarez: Puzzle homebrew game from Socals was released just the other day, and already other coders are getting into the project. Like NeilR, for example - another mainstay on QJ.NET and our forums.

This version from NeilR gives Squarez: Puzzle some CFW compatibility, since the previous release wasn't able to run on some systems. Here's a note from NeilR:

I tried it under iRShell and the 1.0 eboot worked under the 5.00 kernel but not from the XMB on my phat which indicated to me that it was a param.sfo issue. I went ahead and produced a cfw compatible eboot.

My attached eboot has been tested under 5.00 kernel on a phat. Simply replace this with the 1.0 compatible one from the original package.

for the record...

I wouldn't call what I did "coding". It was merely patching the eboot. Also, this eboot was later tested by Slim owners and works just fine. Don't forget that you need to visit either the VIA linked thread or the related article to download the full version for this brew to work (this download only contains the modified eboot). Feel free to visit us at M for Mature. We've got more Squarez related goodies lined up for the near future. ;)
