snowmydog has just released another update to his excellent homebrew game, Sci-Fi Yoyo version 0.9. If you don't remember snowmydog, its because he's a very new developer to the homebrew scene. His first release was last week with Sci-Fi Yoyo version 0.8, a very good game with excellent graphics and astounding gameplay. And not to disappoint he has followed it up this week with another great release, adding a whole host of fixes and new features. Check them out:
- Cursor moves faster
- New approach to calculate the score
- Main menu have a option to see a mini instructions
- When you successfully clear a stage, the timer will reflects your bonus
- Cursor have new look
- Animated invaders, now they're alive!
- At pause screen, now you can press start to resume game or press triangle button to return to main menu
- Minor amendments on some graphics
- "X" & "O" button have same function
- Flashing the mini Yoyo icon when minus a life

Dunno why, but cant play in my 1.5. game runs, goes to a black screen and then i get: Cant initialize game (80020001) sort of thing :(
Try re-downloading the file.
oddly i have the same problem no matter how many times i redownload it from here or maxconsole. Guess it's back to 0.8 for me

This is a cool game, but this version is definately not working on my 1.5 psp. Look forward to the fix !

bummer i really liked the first release and was looking forward to this one i think i'm gonna try to make a new eboot with seitool.
heres what you do, make a new eboot with seitool, it won't look too great so to get the eboot to look nice, like it did before, use pbp unpacker and save the files on your computer and then use pspbrew to update the eboot and viola. i just added that last part for those crazy anal-retentive people like myself. enjoy, the new release is sweet!
