Saving Ichigo: Brawler - Image 1

Rukia has released a new PSP brawler for everyone to enjoy, and it's based on the Saving Ichigo game that we recently covered. In this game, known as Saving Ichigo: Brawler v0.1, you can dispense with the storyline and focus on all-out fighting goodness using characters from numerous animated shows, such as "Bleach" and "Naruto".

In this case, the cast can constantly expand depending on the number of sprite-based characters you can make, but the current build has Goku, Ichigo, Sasuke, Renji, and Rukia for use. As an added bonus, you can also engage in war on the QJ Forums, as you can see in the above screenshot.

Below are the controls for the game, because you'll definitely need them:
  • X= Attack1 (in game) pick options(in menus)
  • O= Block
  • Square= Attack2
  • Triangle= Jump
  • R= Special (in game) advance pass first menu (out of game)
In any case, give it a try for yourself and see how you like it. Enjoy!

Another Lua?

I admit that I haven't played this game yet, but if its anything like the other fighting games that ppl keep making, it'll suck and pretty much end here. And I dont want any game creators to say its "hard to program" as an excuse to make bad games. Just program the game long enough to make a decent game that has good controls and is actually fun. Im sorry if this game actually is good and took weeks to program or something; I've just played too much bad lua fighter games that had Anime characters (especially all those dam Naruto fighters).

U probably wont read this ...

I wasn't bashing on the programming language Lua; I was just pointing out that it was just another fighting game programmed using Lua. I know Lua is a powerful, simple language to learn, but it has spawned a huge amount of fangames that are almost always half done. People should try making a game that is complete with several/few glitches and then iron them out later on, not just start making a game, release it, and abandon it. and 5legf, have you even test out the game yet? The way your comment was written sort of implies that you didnt.I've actually tried it, and the first thing I noticed was a glitch with the main menu -.-. Then I find that the character's names don't even match up w/ the characters -.-. Once I got to the Stage selection screen I selected the Qj backround, but instead I get this dark street stage. Should I also point out that the enemy Ai just moves to you (slowly) and then atks? It also Didnt help out that there was no music. Idk y I even tried this game out when I was pretty sure it'd be 90% incomplete anyways, like I said on my earlier post -.-.
