BlackPhoenix from our forums has released his PSPool v0.1b homebrew game. PSPool is a port of 'Another Pool', originally made by Gerrit Jahn. I've been following the development of this game on the forums, and I can tell you that a lot of effort has gone into this. The game even had over 20 beta testers - I think that's the most I've seen for a homebrew game.

This game is amazing. If you like Pool, you won't be disappointed. You can play 2 player (altenating play), or against a CPU opponent, which has Hard, Medium, and Easy difficulty levels, and It takes quite a bit of practice just to be the easy level CPU player! You can also take screenshots, and change the table colour! This is a beta release, but it's just as good as a full one. I haven't found any bugs in it at all. I highly recommend this download.

It works on 2.6, I created the graphics and did alot of beta testin and bug reporting, BL has spent alot of time perfecting this game and is a truly addictive piece of homebrew, expect more improvements ;)

hey guys how to change the table color or play with cpu??? i play the game and the game auto starts with player 2...

by NeilR - 2006-04-25 00:41
» Excellent

This is a great release.. already shows some polish and you can tell it was tested well. Kepp up the good work guys.

On a side note, anyone having problems dowloading from QJ should check that the site is "allowed" if they are using a software firewall...

@#36 - atm, you have to hit the right trigger when player2's first turn starts in order to change the player status.
