PSP Tic Tac Toe From Cools Rolled Out |
Ó

There have been already numerous homebrew games dedicated to the pen-and-paper game tic-tac-toe. To date, there have been four tic-tac-toe homebrew games featured here at QJ: there was one by Aerol33t, Xs, Alexi02, and BlackPhoenix. Now here's another one coded by cools from our forums, the same cools that gave us PSP Monopoly.
If this is the first time you've heard about the game (where the heck have you been?!), let me tell you the mechanics...it's pretty simple. Tic-tac-toe was made for two players, each one represented by an X and an O. Players take turns to mark the spaces in a 3x3 grid and the player who succeeds in placing three of their own symbols in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal row wins the game.
Now, cools' PSP Tic Tac Toe, the graphics of which was done by chrisk, will have players using the analog stick to choose a square. Player 1 is in control of the X mark, which they will put in the square by pressing "X" on their PSP; player 2 will be marked O, and he'll place it on the square with - what else - the "O" button.

cools has been working on PSP Tic Tac Toe since the 6th of June and has managed to finish the game in two days. His tic tac toe game will run in Lua Player; he says he has no plans of making a standalone version. Owners of 2.00 can play this game through the tiff exploit using Lua Player .16.
PSP Tic Tac Toe keeps track of the sequence number but not the numbers of wins and losses, which may be incorporated in later releases. The author is also looking into including Wi-fi for multiplaying in future releases.
Go ahead and download PSP Tic Tac Toe and enjoy the classic pen-and-paper game in a new electronic format!
