PSP Monopoly Released |
cools from our forums has just released a beta version of his upcoming homebrew game, PSP Monopoly. And it looks quite good for a beta version. As expected, there's a few things missing in the beta. It will be added as time goes on.
He has already implemented a lot of things. Here's what he had to say about it:
"I have worked on for a couple of months now, and I thought it would be best to release a Public Beta. The 3 main things that are missing are Auctioning, Trading, and AI. Without those the game isn't really the fun-est thing to play, but it is playable. The computer is only programmed to buy a deed, or pay for a deed, pay on Income Tax, and pay on Luxury Tax. It will go to Jail if landed on the go to Jail box. All the Thanks for Helping and Beta-testers are all in the credits. A lot of you will be thinking that it should be a better game, because I have been working on it since October of last year, but the truth is I took some really long breaks during coding, so everything that is in the game was completed in ~3 months. I dont expect anything special out of this, I was just bored one day and decided to learn Lua."

I think i speak for everyone when i say this sucks. No offense to the dev, it looks like you put a lot of work into this and i respect you loads, but who in the heck wants to play monopoly, by the looks of it, you got loads of talant, i suggest you use it to make something better.

i was just playing monopoly on my psp via sega dgen emulator, you dont speak for anyone , you ass.
cant wait for this to get better, its a game that i always play from time to time ( now if we can get a smokin risk game with infrastructure muahahahahah)

I tried to play it without the eloader, then i tried again with the eloader and it worked
dude its very easy just copy the files in r lua app thing and load it . and yes/no on 2.16

I wonder whether different countries areas/road names might be implemented as a future download.

i play Monopoly Party on my Xbox every so often. much easier than setting up a board game. i'll give this a try, awesome work. thank you.
sometymes i dont feel like playing iso's or any other of my homebrew i have on my psp so this is good i can just play some monoply

Can it be changed to have the ORIGINAL (Mayfair, Park lane etc.) names, not the crappy American ones?
yes and some other skins like simpsons, star wars, ect...
that would be sweet
