Adding to the plethora of good homebrewed pastime games is sauron-le-noir's Mahjong. The first release of this tile-matching game is actually not the full traditional game of mahjongg, but rather a tile-matching game variant. According to homebrew developer sauron-le-noir, this tile-matching game is also called Mahjong in Europe.

Here's the controls list for the game:
  • use the arrows or the analog stick to move the mouse pointer
  • use X to select a tile
  • use O to cheat
For a fairly sweet, short and simple game, the download size of Mahjong is fairly large, since it contains .ogg music files, as well as .png images. As always, you can check out the download through the link below. Enjoy!

Reminds me of "Mahjong Solitaire" included in Clubhouse Games for the NDS.

» Game naming rant...

As mentioned in the article above, this isn't traditional mahjong, rather the tile matching variant. The tile matching variant is known as "Shanghai". Just because the game uses Mahjongg tiles doesn't make it Mahjongg. It's like calling Klondike "Poker" because you use poker cards. (Just so you know, Mahjong is a tile/card matching game for 4 people very similar to Gin, using a "deck" of 144 tiles.)

@ sauron-le-noir

If you are reading this, please re-title the game appropriately as "PSP Shanghai". Or at the very least call it "PSP Mahjong Solitare".
