psp - Image 1Homebrew coder Xteaph-N dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum to update us about the progress of his homebrew game RPG Demo for the Sony PSP. The latest revision now  features an enhanced collision system, a new camera view and more.

Developer's note:

There are lots updates none of which pertain to the battle system. Everything now has collision. All the buildings can be entered. There is a menu in the town only, which is almost done(honestly!). I also changed how all the collisions work, and I've also changed how the camera works. there is also a demo of how speaking to NPC's will work. The battle system has remained untouched. Also I'm starting to get a good idea of what kind story my game will have, and how everything will work together. I think people will agree that it would be the best direction for my game, that is when I show what it will be. I highly recommend you guys download this to check out the progress I've made. Also just as a quick PSA: Sprite Artists Contact Me!

check the forum comments, I left you a little something. People probably ignore it because it is still very bare bones and not many projects like this ever get finished...i mean, how many homebrew rpg do you know that are finished or far along...I think there are more FPSD games.

» Baron

If that screenshot is from the game, why does it look like a copy of Baron from Final Fantasy IV? Pretty sure it's Baron, but it's definitely from IV.

peace,

Yes, it is definitely FF tiles, not sure which game though.

lack of creativity probably has something to do with the lack of popularity.

» it's FF2US/FF4J

That picture is from Final Fantasy IV... it's the spot where that dancer is... She is naked in the Japanese version.
