Looks like the alpha phase of lokiare1's Merc Roid homebrew game is going along smoothly. The dev has just released an update that takes care of a few in-game bugs as well as adding some tweaks to the Metroid clone's LTE engine. Here's what's new, straight from lokiare1:
In this update I mainly took care of bug fixes. The missile count is now good. The monsters move now (but gravity doesn't apply to them for some weird reason). I added some pictures and sounds for when in the PSP's vsh menu. There were some more behind the scenes updates to the LTE engine. Mainly the collision response animator was updated to the Irrlicht-1.5 code. It behaves exactly the same as before though. I changed up a few of the images to make things look better.
Merc Roid is still a work in progress, so keep a close eye here for more updates. Lokiare1 says more monsters, including bosses, and being planned for future version along with an overarching storyline and more gameplay features.
