Homebrew developer Drakon has stopped by the QJ.NET PSP forums again to release a new version of LameCraft, his homebrew MineCraft clone for the Sony PlayStation Portable. One big change in this release is that the project is now open source. You can find the game's source code here. The homebrew coder has also added a fix for a nasty freeze bug as well as tweaks in the screenshot function.

Changelog:

• Static icon in PSP menu
• Fixed freeze bug when putting psp in sleep mode(partially - before putting psp sleep in game try turn on game menu, sometimes still freeze without this)
• New screenshots will not override screenshots from other maps
• Added question do you really want remove save file.
• Open Source from now

LameCraft is Drakon's entry to the Genesis PSP homebrew coding competition. Drakon has been pretty steady in the stream of updates for LameCraft, but since the submission period for the Genesis compo is coming to a close further LameCraft updates will resume after the weekend.
