Pimp My Garage portable version released |
Ó

Are you the type the hates mainstream and always want to be different? Are you always looking for ways to go against the flow and create ripples of your own? Well, what we have here (Thanks for the tip Sousanator!) might be the very thing you're looking for to break away from norm. We all know how the vehicles of Liberty City tend to look the same after a few rounds with Toni, so here's something that'll give the game a well-deserved pimpin'.
ADePSP has just released a PSP version of the popular tool for GTA: Liberty City Stories, Pimp My Garage. You'll still get "to choose a vehicle from the game Liberty City Stories and change various attributes such as it's colour, speed and general handling", with a slight tweak - it's now portable! As the creator puts it, "the difference between the website version and this version is that this version runs directly from your PSP so you can pimp out your cars on-the-go.."
Before you go pimpin', here's a rundown of what you need to do. First of, you'll need a 1.50 PSP running DeviceHook, CheatDevice by Edison Carter, a copy of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and this program. After you have all of that secured, wipe the sweat from your brows as this is about to get messy (just kidding). It's actually quite simple to install:
1. Install the CheatDevice by Edison Carter.
2. Extract the Pimp My Garage Portable folders (__SCE__pmg and %__SCE__pmg), copy it, and paste it to the game folder inside your PSPs memory stick (just like how you install most homebrew).
3. Launch GTA: Liberty City Stories via devhook. (You could get the latest version here, and a tutorial on how to use it here.)
4. You're all set!
Here's a list of the controls:
L & R Shoulder Buttons - Navigate through the settings screens
Left, Right, Up or Down - Navigate through the current screen settings
X - Change the selected setting
Hold X and (Left or Right) - Change the "Model" or selected "Scroller" setting
Hold SQUARE - Quick Help
START or SELECT - Open or Close the "Main Menu"
If you're wondering on how to start tweaking those rides, ADePSP has included a detailed rundown of how you can modify every part of your vehicle - from the paint job, wheels, suspension, and overall handling - in the Readme file included in the download. What you're waiting for? Break the norm and start pimpin'!

I didn't know he released it, yet...Sounds like something he would've told me :P
yay homebrew rules thanks to all devs out there
im in the credits twice... lol
4th
DOESNT WORK WITH devhook 2.71 so im guessing i have to use like 2.0?
its about time that there was an article on this.....
why do you have to use devhook? can't i just load the eloader on my 2.6?
yeayh! I'm V!!! I finally helped make something!!
i think you need 1.5, cause it acesses kernal dont know why though and you need to emulate either firmware 2.60 or lower, since 2.71 blocked the gta method
does the kernal acces found in 2.6 end with the downgrader?
Well, if it does i'll email fanjita and give him the source but i'm not sure he'll have the time to find out why it doesn't work... I've heard some people say it does though and eLoader doesn't work with my Devhook so I just don't know... I'm not sure what is considered "kernel" access... I don't do anything other than load pics, mp3 files and search, save and load from the flesystem so I don't see why it shouldn'y work...?
works on 2.6, or one of the beta told me
It doesn't use kernal. I use 2.6 and it works perfectly the only difference between the online and the psp versions is that the psp one does not let you rename your vehicle.
devhook doesn't work with this because its probably a newer version. The newer version of course uses 2.71 fw. In 2.7 fw it blocks the gta hack. So you have to install the 2.6 or 2.0 fw into devhook(i prefer 2.0 cause it uses and takes up less memory and is all that is needed for gta)
this is how you do it... while on your 1.5 psp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! go to Game then memory stick than choose PPMG! and it will load!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! god you guys are DEE DEE DEES then you need Devhoook to emulate 2.6 load up cheat device... and BAM your cars will be there!
Ya we can read the main artical.... befor you act high and mighty read all the posts and you will see that we are talking about why it does/doesn't work on x.xx firmware and kernal access... DEE DEE DEEE smartass...
This rocks, i haven't played gta in forever. thanks man.
Can someone tell me how to get the cheat device to load on devhook. It just crashes my psp. ive been using the 2.6 firmware in devhook is that right ??????
Ya It works with the 2.00 firmware emulation!
hey dee dee number 16... i help make this program so shut up!
im gonna get this
Emm assuming people boot into firmware 2.60 and 2.71 I'm assuming it only works on 2.6 which isnt a big deal for me. But yeah tottaly cool app this makes want to play my gta umd all over again and its easy to use thanks alot
The cheat device is the BEST homebrew fun on the psp, and this makes it better! Really simple to use and instantly gratifying - keep it up!
Again, you show us how much of a retard you are. I don't care if you HELPED with this, my reply didn't metion at all your post was not the correct way to get this running. I was saying that (and you proved it again) you have selective reading skills, what you read and what information gets pushed into the pee sized brain of yours is different. Don't act like your somthing special, especually when you post somthing that nobody asked you about... BTW: you are probibly just a freakin tester or somthing. you helped keep the devs pee pee happy while he was working on this right?
i ***** off everyday! :)
how can 2.5 firmware be emulated with devhook without uninstalling my .46 devhook?
