No Gravity v1.01 game demo |
Ó
This. Is. Homebrew. Yeah, huh. Don't believe us? Check the readme. Demo as it just might be, we're impressed. Very impressed. So much so that this writer. Can't. Write. In complete sentences. No Gravity, a 3D arcade-style space shooter, is developed by RealTechVR.
You'll be controlling a ship that goes through various missions, each with its own objective to accomplish: shoot-and-destroy missions, mine field clearing missions, ship escort missions... The only sad thing about it is that we're just getting the demo for now. The full version is to be released in the future, so that's worth looking forward to.
The demo, which has five missions, can be download below. The game runs on FW 1.5 or 1.5 backward-compatible firmwares. Check the readme for the full installation instructions, notes, control configurations, and credits.

And to those wondering about the 'hyperspace' lines: In space it can be hard to visually confirm in which direction you are moving, thus the lines are painted by the HUD to give a sense of direction and speed.

I'm so proud of having beta-tested it!!!
Remember that the creators are actually looking for an editor to release this game on UMD so if you are one or if you know one, don't hesitate to contact them.

This Demo is breath-taking. I haven't figured out all the weapons but theres 6 or so. For 17Mb or so, this is incredible and should be on every PSP.
Looking forward to this! Proving once again, what this machine can do, and this awesome community can do!

My only complaint I have are the stars as your driving, the author should change it a lot, or just completely remove it.

Best homebrew game ever!!!!!!!!!!! !!

This game is good but it's still not as good as a commercial game. It gets very repetitive early too. Still, it's one of the better homebrew games I have seen in a while. Thumbs up for that.
I'm not going to apologize for my harsh critique, just giving my opinion instead of sucking up like others have.

By the way, I will try the game demo today, due to the fact that I'm not busy.
Unfortunately, simply creating compilers is very difficult, so this will not happen any time soon. However, this inspired me to start programming for the PSP. I'll probably get a VM with Linux and do the development in there.

I have never seen my psp so bright without the power cord pluged in and the 4th brightness on. DAMN GOOD JOB! Keep up the good work!
