Metroid Life v0.2: New functions added - Image 1If you've been enjoying the Metroid Life homebrew that Dragula96 released earlier, we've got some good news. The coder dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Development Forums earlier to announce that this game has been updated to version 0.2.

This game, in case you're asking, is a modified version of Conway's Game of Life.

Dragula96's version exchanges the pixels for Metroid cells, adding an interesting twist to this old favorite. Version 0.02 carries several new functions such as the addition of a pause and reset option. Here's the rest of the changelog:
  • fixed a bug where the last colum was not calculating correctly
  • added animation to metroids
  • added space background
  • added pause feature(to check out interesting patterns)
  • added cycle speed up and cycle speed down with L and R buttons
  • select now ends/resets the program
  • start now pauses program
Dragula96 further notes that v0.03 may carry a wrap-around effect  that will let its cells grow outside the grid area would grow on the opposite side of the grid. Those interested in more regarding this game will want to visit the developer's original thread via the QJ.NET Forums. Also be sure that you post your feedback - it's greatly appreciated.
