MapThis! developer to remake classic shooter Tyrian for PSP

Even hard working homebrew developers need to work on fun stuff every now and then. Deniska, the developer behind the homebrew application MapThis! has decided to work on a port for the old-school DOS shooter game Tyrian for the PSP.

So far, Deniska has come up with a preview of the ported game that he's been working in between coding the latest updates for MapThis! Deniska mentions that he plans to release the binaries as soon as he's finished tweaking the code. Those of you who are wondering how this classic shooter will come out can take a look at video we have below.

Veteran gamers will definitely enjoy the return of such a nostalgic, if somewhat lesser known, shooter. While there have been previous remake versions of Tyrian already, we'll hopefully be seeing a final release of this from Deniska sometime soon.

Is now definately the winner between psp and ds when it comes to ports/emu's etc..this game is a classic.
