Kurok Demo v0.2 |
Ó
Among the PSP homebrew updates from last week, one that's picked up quite a lot of positive attention was MDave's release of the Kurok PSP Demo v0.1. Now, if you're among the guys who've been enjoying this game, we've got some good news.
MDave visited the QJ.NET Forums earlier to announce that the Kurok demo has been updated to version 0.2. Based on the extensive improvements we've seen, it looks like the developer is very thankful for the community's warm reception to the project. Quoting the latest changelog:
- Added:
- Soldier enemies now throw grenades on Normal, Hard and Intense difficulties.
- Added: Red and Blue team skin colors in team multiplayer games, bottom color now selects either Red or Blue team.
- Option in the Misc. menu to brighten certain models, turning this off gives a slight speed boost.
- Option in the multiplayer menu to turn on/off auto-aim.
- Option in the multiplayer menu to turn on/off map exits.
- New missile model for the rocket launcher and grenade launcher.
- New plasma ball effect for the secondary function of the grenade launcher.
- Extra deathmatch and co-op spawn points in single player maps (no more crazy telefragging).
- New icon and background image for the Normal and Slim EBOOTS.
- Loading screen background image.
- Change:
- Expanded the Base Arena multiplayer map (kdm2).
- Split up the pak files for faster & easier patching.
- The config file now shows subtle realistic view movement, and fixed default controls.
- Increased speed of plasma ball and reduced its collision size.
- Fixed:
- Tekbow crashing the game if you charge an arrow as soon as you change a map/load a save game.
- Clipping problem in Canyon Testing map (e1m3).
- Remote mines floating in mid air on spawn points.
Further details regarding installation, controls, and other developer notes are available in the file bundle's readme. You'll also want to visit MDave's thread at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum if you're interested in posting your feedback regarding this release.

i have v 0.1 of this and am enjoying it will download, im a big fan of the original turok
try using Ir Shell to load the game. i had some problems with it too until i used Ir Shell.
i have never used Ir Shell, just because it is such a big program, though it looks very useful, i guess this is an incentive to perhaps give it a shot
