Homebrew Guitar Hero for the PSP: Guitarra Gero v1.0 |

Ó
Guitarra Gero v1.0 is a PSP homebrew clone of Guitar Hero, coded by P22. Though it's been done in Lua, it's still quite impressive. The basic elements of GH are there - and still very much addictive once you get used to it.
The interface may be in Spanish, but it shouldn't be all that hard to bumble your way along into the game. Besides, music is a universal language!
Here are the controls for Guitarra Gero v1.0:
Menu:
- X: Accept/Enter
- D-pad: move to next selection
- X, Triangle, O, Square: Strike corresponding notes

The controls thing on the article has no mention of strumming, so I'd have to disagree with "The basic elements of GH are there". Without strumming, this is closer to DDR.
TBH, any PSP GH game is going to fail if they can't think of a decent control scheme. My idea is to turn the PSP upside down, and use O, X and [] as frets, and the analog as a strummer. That feels a bit like holding a GH controller. But then you're limited to just 3 frets (4 if you include an open note, like in GH:WT bass, but you still can't use those in chords). It's probably a good way to drop your PSP, too.
