GuitarStar v1.01: bug fix release |
Ó
Festi has released an update to GuitarStar, the Guitar Hero homebrew clone for the PSP. In case you missed the last release, what makes this one stand out is its compatibility with Frets on Fire music. This update fixes a bug that caused errors in the game. The changelog only has one entry, but I'll include it anyway for posterity's sake:
- Fixed a critical bug when trying to play music that contained more than a musical instrument.

But can you move the red/rouge button to the right dpad? that would help lots, I keep getting it confused and I really really love this! can beat it on medium already.
This game is impressive. Way better than the other GH clone. You can actually play it and win. The controls are much better (not like you cant change them with CWCheat anyway). The controls are like this, L-Dpad, Down-Dpad, [], X, O. The only 2 downsides are, theres only 1 song, and its not in english. Great Job Festi, and keep the updates coming.
Such a great app. I'm already jamming on expert (depending on the song). The controls are easy to get used to, but my down d-pad (red note) is a bit hard to press, so I miss most of those green+red notes. sucks for me. kinda why i need a Slim.
Is there more than 1 song? If so, how do I change which song?
I haven't tried this out yet but in the description it says that this version is compatible with Frets on Fire songs. Go on Google and type in "Frets on Fire fan forum" and choose the first thing that comes up. Then there is a section of songs. There are a lot of user credited songs, and most are pretty good. They even have some that are direct rips from the guitar hero games, even rock band.
Just to let you know you have to sign up in order to download the songs, but again it's totally worth it. PS The songs DO WORK! They even had different difficulties. Great homebrew!
you can download TONS of popular songs for it on geetarfreaks.com
the best website for songs for this game is geetarfreaks.com it has almost every song from the rockband and rockband 2 and the rockband music store and guitar 1, 2, and 3, and world tour. and the songs all have different difficulties they are *****in sick.
I've put a few songs on guitarstar from geetarfreaks.com but when you start guitarstar they don't show up. They are there you just can't see the titles of the songs. Anyone know how to get around this? Otherwise an awsome homebrew.
You can play the songs, just wanna see the title? Try renaming the folders.
