future resurrectionOne of our forum posters has designed another game to add to his growing collection for PSP LUA releases. Zion has created and began work on a new RPG called Future-Resurrection. The storyline starts with a man who awakes from a coma, but realises that the world is no longer the same. In this sense it already reminds me of the hit film "28 Days Later."

The current v1.0 only allows you to move the player around the map, however he has stated that the next releases will bring it closer to a fully fledged RPG. Have a look, and let Zion know about any fixes or improvements that can be made on our forums. Please bare in mind again that this is only a beta release to show it off, and fixes are bound to come in the future.

To play this, you need Lua-player.

» yawn

Don't people get bored with all these sodding *****ty little games? I want to see something spectacular on my PSP....a decent, good looking game maybe...Not something that was around years ago....

I think im basically getting bored with the PSP now...No games that are coming out keep my attention for long (Last game was loco roco)

» not going anywhere..

"next release this, next release that" well all know what happens to these Lua games. They never ever finish. Look at naruto adventure for example. First release all u can do is move around and there never was a second release. Same with that Final Fantasy RPG. these LUA games never finish. This is just something from a Beginner in LUA who thinks that because he made a character move well all be impressed. He Probally doesnt even have the story finished. Heed my words everyone. This game will not make it to final version . And you can keep track of it and ull see...

» Note

This game has its whole code stolen, also some sprites are from Kingdom Hearts. I think you should remove it. Read this WHOLE thread for more information: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=27995

» Makes me sick.

If you guys get any more 'releases' from this guy please investigate properly before posting it as news. Yesterday the 'mod' of snake with a couple of background images changed and nothing else, now this blatant stealing of code with nothing but filenames changed. Obviously this kid is just trying for some free fame and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Gives a bad name to those of us who actually do our own work.

by ugh - 2006-07-02 12:12
» Huh?

So this guy stole code to make that piece of *****? WTF? I could make that in 3 minutes tops.

It's official: LUA is the worst thing since RPGMaker. It's the mother *****ing plague.

» Don't diss Lua

Lua isn't bad. It's just the idiots giving it a bad reputation. It shouldn't be called the plague because there was nothing good about the plague. Once in a while, a good homebrew made in Lua popus up.

» never finished

I agree with not another one. This game will never be finished. It's pretty stupid to release a game when all you can do is move around on the screen. A first release should have at least something to do.

» Very inteligent

fist of all, you are all negative people, check here : http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=28791

and you will see how the game is coming along. It will be finished and i cant wait to see the look on all your negative faces when it is.

Either support the project or dont comment. Anyone can come on and say "this is *****". And btw, read all of the code if you want. NONE of it is stolen.

now....get a life

I would like to add to zions comments, that i've been helping him since version 1.2, currently the internal version is 1.3.1.

As both zion and I have jobs we have to do this in spare time and because my job is being a developer, I don't have much spare time.

The code was 90% refactored + there is lots of new code.

To all the wankers complaining about lua games, DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS!!! and GET A LIFE!!

I for one like lua because it is easy to read and allows for very rapid development.
