Deal or No Deal: compatible now with CFW 3.xx |
Ó
Those who've been with QJ.NET for quite some time now might remember the old homebrew game released by coder AdePSP called Deal or No Deal. Needless to say, this is a "port" of the game show that became a phenomenon around the world.
The last version of that game was only compatible for PSP firmwares 2.0, 2.01, 2.5, and 2.6, not to mention the eLoader for 1.5. Coder amirulrudy12 dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released an updated version of Deal or No Deal.
The main thing that's been changed is the game's firmware compatibility, which has been increased for custom firmwares 3.xx. If you missed this game from before, this is the best time to get it via the download link we provided below.

Since Deal or No Deal is still in production, and they actually market games based on the show... I'm surprised NBC hasn't already started suing the author and QJ for distributing this. At the very least, you should change the name of the game - to make it harder for them to win the hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage you know they're going to eventually claim. Otherwise they have you plain and simple, just on trademark.
Relax dude... If anyone gets a "Cease and Desist" order, which is normally how things begin in business law, then I'm sure this little homebrew app will disappear. Unlike most citizens, however, corporations do not tend to try to run straight to lawsuits. Heck, what if they even take it as a free PR campaign, and either ignore it or license it? I say kudos on creating a fun homebrew game. Thanks a ton for the effort! --Databoy2k
See, I'm so glad I released the source for this... Great to see amirulrudy12 keeping it up to date with the new firmwares...
