CSpsp v1.0 - Image 1 CSpsp v1.0 - Image 2

nataku92 has informed us via our forums that he has just updated his Counter Strike-inspired homebrew game for the PSP called CSpsp.

We know it's been quite a while since his last release, so to make up for the hiatus, he added quite a ton of new features for his brew. You'll now be able to go on spectator mode while playing, hear the gunfire and taste your enemies' blood. Okay we're kidding about the last one, but we're dead serious about the other two. So anyhoo, to see the full list of changes for this version, we bring you the all-important...

Changelog:
  • Finished path system for bots so they actually don't get stuck
  • Implemented spectator mode
  • Made con figs for a few more guns
  • Implemented ammo/reload system
  • Implemented switching weapons (primary, secondary, knife)
  • Sound effects for guns (including some basic panning)
  • Fixed collision detection between players
  • Made score list
  • Score history in top-right corner
And as always, check out the readme if you want more info. And if you have any comments and/or suggestions, just drop nataku92 a line in our forums, which you can access by clicking on the release thread link below. Enjoy!

read the first post: "so no "im first!" comments please ffs"

and if you count the post you know you're not first.

by every homebrew someone does ask"2,81?", and again the answer is NO!!!. if there is an exploit we will tell you.

this game is one full bodied piece of homebrew. everything from the menus, to AI, to sound is amazing.

just please get the control switch working - the sound button doesnt have effect! although the standard mode is kinda fun when you get used to it. adds challange.

if you go to \CSPSP\cspsp-1.0\CSPSP2\data\c onfig.txt and change

movement + relative #(absolute)

to

movement + absolute #(relative)

the problem is fixed!

btw, i was looking around in the folders, are there more maps?

JC can stand for things other than "jungle-cat", you know. Ask yourself, are you well-known enough for someone to impersonate you?

Man this is awsome! I look forward to the day that we can

play the real CS:S on PSP or at least a 1st perspective CS

FPS. This can be done off the Doom engine for PSP but

this little diddy can hold me till that happens.

Thanks
