Conker's Bad Fur Day Mini BETA

Rareware's Conker's Bad Fur Day was first assumed as an April Fools joke when the press release came out that Conker's Quest would be re-tooled into an "adult" game with lots of scatological humor. Currently, pspman16's Conker's Bad Fur Day Mini BETA v.01, could be likened to a Conker's Quest waiting to be turned into a raw and full pledged game that is Conker's Bad Fur Day.

As of the moment all that Conker can do is walk around the forest and here's why:

Here is a very simple Conker's Bad Fur Day written in Lua. All you're able to do is walk around so it's still in it's beta stage. This has only been tested on my FW1.5 PSP and I'm to lazy and hurried to get this BETA released to check others. If you post this please inform everyone I would like help as there is alot left for me to do, but I have no knowledge of the code needed, thnx.

So turn pspman16's bad day into a good one. Lend him a helping (coding) hand by posting your comments and suggestions on this article. Hope you get the help you're looking for pspman16. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

I'm all for announcing that games are in progress and stuff, but I think a game has to be father than "you can walk around on a flat surface and a background" before it deserves an article.

at #7 Yes I agree with you, but I wanted to release this so I can get ideas from everyone to help me out. I'm actually farther on the unreleased game I'm working on on my computer.

» nice game

Dont listnen to anyone. This are just kids that cant make something like this by thier own.

This looks like a verry nice lovely game. Something new. I never saw something like this before. And my girlfriend thinks that thing is the sweetest thing on earth.

Im 21 years old and my girlfriend is 26 year old and she opend her mouth and said WOW.

And it's amazing what a kid of 16 year old can do with just lua codes. Keep on the good work.

I know a litte lua but not enough to help you on your work. I hope you make some new releases in the near future. The game looks nice.

QJ + Dev stop posting about things that are not finished yet. How it this a beta release? HOW? Beta = almost done, needs to be tested to make minor adjustments (or go back to drawing board)

If you were a beta tester for say Crysis, how disappointed would you be if all you could do was run left or right? This is pre-alpha and stop posting about useless *****e that isn't playable!

I'm not going to criticize you, I myself released two games, although not lua but written in C, which had much more functionality, and people still criticized

anyhow, this seems like a very beta, not because you can't do much, but because the code is so simple, I hope your programming skills are a bit better than what I've seen so far :) and like some people here said, don't do lua, just port it to C, it's not much harder...

I wanted to right in C in the first place, in fact im learning C/C++ as a class in school this year, but the CYGWin program I tried to download didn't work, it wouldn't download correctly.
