Callisto v0.2

The newest version of the exciting space shooter from developers Weak, Pimpot, rmedtx, Markospex and Klesk has been released. Callisto v0.2 for the PSP is complete and available for download.

In the newest version many changes have been made. Callisto v0.2 has a whole new planet to raid, and with that comes new enemies and weapons to fight them with. There will also be new power-ups and new bullet and enemy patterns.

As expected from an update of this side scrolling space shooter, audio and visuals have been improved. Features such as online high scores and map statistics are also included in this latest version.

Callisto v0.2 currently works on firmware 1.0 and 1.5. Nice work on this one!

Still amazed

I just had a playthrough of Callisto. Thoroughly impressive game. Not only is it fun but the amount of texture is amazing. What I absolutely LOVE is that if I die the action doesn't stop. So many other games (commercial ones like R-Type, Gradius) stop the action and sends me back to th e beginning. It's a real letdown. The enemies are really cool too. Definitely one of the best homebrew games for PSP yet.
by - 2006-06-04 02:07:04
im not sure

well looking at the picture and the info it seemes that the chip mounts on in place of the old flash but if you llok at the picture it shows it on the daughter board so i still think it is a hoax
by belab - 2006-06-04 03:52:19
elf File

Have only 32 MB :( Is someone able to post the executable .elf file, so I can try the game with psplink?
by - 2006-06-04 03:54:57
Coooooool game !!

Absolut cool game. A little bit easy, but if you like harder games, try K.E.T.M. :-) Didn't I read everything or is nowhere written how many levels this game has ? Anyway I will find out and beat all enemies. This game is better than much commercial shooters ! GREAT !!!
by buenojuju - 2006-06-04 04:31:15

help

man very difficult game... i need some tips for the second boss... i can't defeat him..
by - 2006-06-04 18:38:55
BEST PSP HOMEBREW GAME, PERIOD.

By far, this is the best homebrew game for the PSP. All the other tetris clones and LUA games were okay, but this one shines with its great graphics and promising gameplay. The music is great! The difficulty is intermediate, but it's the first release so far. Thing's I'd like to see: Speed boost, a la Gradius Ship select, like 1945, AF, etc. Story, like Contra: SS AD-HOC or even Infrustructure 2-player The online Score idea is great as well...only, it'd be better if the date, place, and time were stamped on there as well. Place as in which city/state the player's from. Keep up the great work!

A shining definition of Perfection.

Truly, much more than a game, a real combination of art and entertainment. A new standard to which all homebrew games will be measured by. Thank you very much. ++good
by jV - 2006-06-05 08:45:50
I normally ignore homebrew

But this is definitely quality stuff. If you can run it, give it a try.
by aucutie - 2006-06-05 21:05:00
Version fw2.0 version?

Damn it doesn't work on fw2.0 I wish it did... I LOVE the game G-Darius and want this one bad!
by uncle jed - 2006-06-10 23:03:31
great game

this game is great.. its a little tough , i barely made it to the falling rocks level and died soon after. I think there should be a continue point after each mission. its very addictive , looks and plays nice.
by tacopalypse - 2006-06-22 20:41:17
needs savegame support!

add saving and loading! that would be so awesome!
by - 2006-07-05 07:53:24
