After a couple of months' hiatus (the previous version, v0.4, was released waaay back in June), Ghoti is now back with an updated version of his block game, Boxy II.

Ghoti explains that it's been a while since he updated this game because he was busy with his studies. Well, we're certainly not one to complain, and it's nice to hear that you still prioritize your studies over PSP coding. (Ya hear that, anti-gaming groups?! Gamers DO have priorities!) Hahaha. Anyway, this new release has two new skins made by Dj_Gordon, and Ghoti hopes there'll be even more to come.

That said, here's the changelog for v0.5:

ADDED:
  • Buttonswap (cross and circle)
  • line under the letters you edit in the gameoverscreen
  • Ingame sounds
  • menu option to set the volume of the sounds
  • menu option to set the sounds on/off
  • Spiced up the menu a bit
  • new skin (Wood and Smile by Dj_Gordon)
  • skins in theme directory can have whatever name you want, you can add up to 100 extra themes. Just copy them to the themes directory
FIXED:
  • reordered some code hope it helps with the crashes
  • cycle theme no multiple times
  • no more crashes after fourth start of a game
Ghoti is still working on having an ingame menu and high scores for each game mode. He says he also wants to try having animated background for the game, as well as a trigame game mode, but he's still not sure if he can manage to do all these. Now, if you guys wanna have those features in his next release, how about a few words of encouragement for Ghoti, eh?
