Anime Style

Monkeyboy1916's mod for DeNitro and Devin923's PSP Revolution, Anime Style, is saying sayonara for now. Maybe, you're thinking that he has already announced that in version three, but because of some bugs that were found in that game's release, he continued to refine his work. This time though, it's the real deal.

"Unfortunately this is my last version this time, only because there aren't many more songs worth adding, but when a new version of PSP Revolution comes out I will be here to update Anime Style, and maybe throw in a couple songs," says Monkeyboy1916 on the letter he sent QJ.

However, the recent additions to his mod would make it a farewell to remember. Since the last release, there are a number of new animes added to the pack like Samurai Champloo, Ruronin Kenshin, Ghost in the Shell, Eureka Seven and Cowboy Bebop. The previously included anime packs were given new tracks as well.

Samurai Champloo

The whole QJ crew can't stop grooving to the cool jazzy sounds of Nujabes' Battlecry that features Shing02. The best part about it is that it's a tune you can actually dance to in real life.

Ruronin Kenshin

Bonnie Pink's It's Gonna Rain would've made a good addition to the Ruronin Kenshin pack.

Eureka Seven

Good choice on the track. Its upbeat and refreshing sound would get those fingers moving.

Cowboy Bebop

I was personally looking forward to this pack, since the music is just the epitome of cool. But after having a go at it, I thought it to be a little bit awkward to mash buttons to. It could be because the sound of the tracks are not really something you would place under the anime-ish category.

ChangeLog:
New Songs Added
  • 1 Eureka Seven
  • 1 Samurai Champloo
  • 2 Rouronin Kenshin
  • 4 Neon Genesis Evangelion
  • 2 Inuyasha
  • 2 FullMetal Alchemist
  • 4 Naruto
  • 4 Bleach
  • 2 Ghost in The Shell
  • 2 CowBoy Bebop
Other New Things Added
  • Picture Quality raised for all BackGrounds and banners
  • New Menu
  • Custom Arrows
  • Custom Health Bar
  • Custom Menu Color
  • New Menu Music
  • New XMB Music, Icon, and Background
  • New Loading Bar
Let's end this article with the letter that Monkeyboy1916 has sent us. Very interesting read. Look out for mentions of what he's currently working on right now.

"Hey all, once again im sry for the release being late, but thx to my good friend Liam of PSP3D its out now, he helped me finish the last couple banners, so now I would like to thank all the original creators of all the pics i used, and the artists of the songs of course. Id Also like to thank RomTheStampede for all the previous work he has put in to this project, and for always helping. Unfortunately this is my last version this time, only because there aren't many more songs worth adding, but when a new version of PSP Revolution comes out I will be here to update Anime Style, and maybe throw in a couple songs. Now i am starting work on PokeMon Style, and v1 should be done soon, and there is also another secret one me and Person917 are working on, but no details :p, thx everyone.

And for all the people that still think it is too easy on the hardest difficulty than I suggest raising the speed, while in the song select screen you can press the square button and change the speed of the arrows, you can make them go twice as fast, so ever for the people that thought it was easy should now have a challenge, thx everyone and have fun ;), and once again im sry for the hefty size, its worth it though :D"

Hopefully, this wouldn't be the last of this mod. Kudos to Monkeyboy1916.

I forgot what "sayonara" means.

Btw I hate these mods considering the steps are sooooo horribly offbeat, random, and rather extremely easy.

# What about FLCL???Guest 2006-08-12 09:58
I love the Anime Styles that Monkeyboy1916 has released, but one of my favorite anime's has been excluded. My favorite anime for music and weirdness, Furi Kuri(FLCL). It had such a large list of great anime hits, "Ride on a Shooting Star," "Crazy Sunshine," "I Think I can," "Hybrid Rainbow," my favorite "Last Dinasour," etc. This anime should be added. If it's alright with you and you read this Monkeyboy1916, I might add to your mod with some other great anime songs.

@ CarXCrashXHeart s, if you dont like them, then keep it to yourself, and if you would read what i said at the bottom there is a way to make it even harder, ill quote it for you "And for all the people that still think it is too easy on the hardest difficulty than I suggest raising the speed, while in the song select screen you can press the square button and change the speed of the arrows, you can make them go twice as fast, so ever for the people that thought it was easy should now have a challenge,"

And @ firedragon_jing , yes you can add your own songs and beats to it, but you cannot release it, if you or anyone would read my readme you would know that, you may add your own stuff to it, but you can not release it to the public in any way, and i totally forgot about fooly cooly, ive watched it a couple times and I guess its worth adding, and i have to fix a couple backgrounds as well, so i guess ONCE again its not over :p, so ill come back ONE more time, with everything needed and worth it

dude i would not like to hurt you but you need to fix it up. first heavy mode was WAAAAAAAYYY off beat and the arrrow looked like it poped out at random the best play was at begginer but thats to slow. and yes i tryed it on two differnt systems dance mania and the psp and they both suck evn the naruto song and also the song was to old get the begging of the 3 seesion one it sounds better.

no need to rant but you need to play and test it more harder befor sending it on.

If you dont like it dont tell me, i cant make them any harder without being MAJORLY off beat, its almost impossible for just me to do , but try this if you want a challange with on beat music "set the difficulty to easy or medium, then press the square button to bring up the options menu, then set the speed to 2.0x, with that it will stay onbeat and be faster and harder", and if i made it harder for everyone all I would hear is " Its TOO hard dude ", or something along those lines

I have other anime's in mind aswell, I got a lot of songs on my pc. And what's stopping me from releasing it if I don't include any of your songs or graphics?

I never said you couldnt release your own mod, but it cant have anything to do with anime style, and you have to start all over from the normal PSPR v0.2 like I did, and if you dont believe me I will know, but as long as you dont include ANY of my files from that release ( Including arrows and everything ) you can release your own, but it cant have the "Style" Name in it, and I know how to do this much better, so if you want you can just become a helper for me and we can work together on it :D

Yeah, I don't have the time to start from scratch.

You're on, I'll just be a helper to you and your mod. I have an atleast 5 new anime's in idea, and three new "style" ideas. I'll start working on making the song beats tomorrow. You can contact me through the qj forums, even though I'm usually more on the crazy forums. (It won't let me sign in to the comments)
