ZX SpectrumHomebrew developer for the PSP, chui, has recently released the second alpha of his ZX-Spectrum emulator called ZX4ALL. Before we delve deep into the emulator, let's have a short walk down memory lane first and try to remember what ZX-Spectrum is. This was a home computer released in the U.K. in the year 1982 and was made by Sinclair Research Ltd. If the U.S. had a Commodore 64, Brits has the ZX- Spectrum.

Some of the games that could be played in this machine are 3D Deathchase, Elite, RoboCop, and All or Nothing among many other titles. Unfortunately, it was discontinued in 1990.

Now back to the present times and to chui'S ZX4ALL. You may know the dev as one of those helpful people who slaved to bring us MAME4ALL for the PSP. Anyway, ZX4ALL is an open source ZX-Spectrum emulator. Chui shares that he is also preparing a new NEO4ALL and DCASTAWAY releases for next week. And with all that aptly mentioned, we bring to you the changelog for this second alpha release.

Changelog
  • Faze Zilog Z80 core.
  • Virtual tape for loading tape images.
  • More options: model, joystick, etc..
