Unofficial gpSP Kai v3.2 Test 8.6 |
Ó
Homebrew developer Takka released a new build for the Unofficial gpSP Kai v3.2, bumping it up to Test 8.6. For those not quite familiar with this, the program is actually a Gameboy Advance emulator for the PlayStation Portable. This specific application is a port of Exophase's original gpSP GBA emulator for the Sony handheld.
Below are the things added and changed in this build. Take note that they were translated to English from Japanese using an online language engine:
- UPDATE page from the "main update" to please.
- Wireless LAN environment is not the way from here
- Fonts created for the conversion tool, is included.
- Comments pointed out that there was garbled Cheat Code of the character code encoding to UTF-8N changed.
- Windows2000 (maybe XP) than Notepad, save time, you can choose a character code.
- Windows95/98/me of the conversion software, or to use unicode compliant editor please.

I found the last gpSP for TA082 pretty much perfect. Anyone know if the Kai gpSP's have actually started to get better? -andrew- -kupomogli-
There's no difference in emulation quality, but lots of features have been added that the official gpSP hasn't implemented yet, such as PSP Slim TV-output and Tilt function support. I think it's worth it to upgrade.
Just to confirm, you're saying Exophase's last release (0.9) speed-wise is the same as all of these Kai updates? No change in speed was made?
I haven't noticed any differences in speed, although that could just be due to gpSP already running everything at full speed anyway.
does anyone know if Final Fantasy VI Advance works in this version? Since the sprites got messed up in gpSP 0.9
as far as i can tell, cause with the Official version, it wouldn't play the battle scenes, this one, it runs it good, havent played more than 5 minites into it tho
FFVI: Advance works perfectly on gpSP Kai. I've almost beaten it.
Anyone know how to get ahold of the author of the program to see if it would be possible for he/she/they can make this emulatoer a universal GB emulator? I mean have the GBC and GB code incorperated to have a single GB emulator. Now dont flame me saying i could just use RIN, that not the point. I just want to decluter my games menue in the XMB. Heck i think if RIN could be incorperated in to it and have a single UI it would be perfict.
Do save states (or even in-game saves for RPGs) work between emulator updates? I'm guessing they don't...
