Snes9xTYL for PSP Slim - from iR Shell creator |
Ó
QJ.NET reader StoneCut dropped by our PSP Development Forum and informed us that iR Shell-owner AhMan has ported Snes9xTYL to PlayStation Portable FW 3.xx. That means that, in case you didn't catch that well, it is now possible to enjoy SNES video games on your PSP Slim and Lite. AhMan's exact words regarding this release:Another emulator ported to firmware 3.x, aka for PSP Slim. The USB mass storage has been removed and no longer available due to the emu is now running completely under user mode. This will probably be the last emu I've interest to port. Have fun!
It was also mentioned by Stonecut that this particular version of Snes9xTY is also compatible with old PSPs. All you have to do is put the emulator inside the GAME352 folder. Aside from the emulator itself, AhMan also released the source code of the program.
If you are uncertain about installation and other matters, you can refer to the forum link below and consult other uses before installing the program on your PSPs.

Just as fast as the ME version, I hope. First post too. - U
Now if we ported Sega, I will get slim.
But most of the good sega games are already on gameboy advance...which runs at 100% on psp slim...
its all about Genesis sonny boy
F-Zero and a few other games are only playable on the ME version.. oh well, user mode is better than nothing I suppose :)
Not really Hissatsunowaza, Sonic 1 converted to GBA is crappy and hard to control with it.
If this port was configured to run the games any faster or better, or is it just a port. -andrew- -kupomogli-
The GBA is a great system, but no substitute for the Genesis. Alien Soldier, Gunstar Heroes, Ranger X, M.U.S.H.A., Contra Hard Corps, the Thunder Force games -- none of these are on GBA (although Gunstar did get a GBA sequel).
I opened the archive, placed the 3.xx folder in my GAMES folder in my PSP Slim with fw 3.60 and placed a rom in the ROMs folder. I then tryed to open this app from my MS but it error messaged me. What am I doing wrong? This app is for a non-custom firmware PSP Slim right? Thx 4 any help.
Is the PSP slim going to split the homebrew community in half?!
In the GAME folder place your PS GAMES and they will play... I had gotten a copy of Silent Hill and it worked
You MUST have custom firmware. Official doesn't let you do anything fun silly.
