Snes9xTYL++ Beta quick save state and autofire patch |
Ó
A lot have been waiting for an update to the Snes9xTYL SNES emulator for the PSP. And after about a two month hiatus for the said emu, we finally find a little version bump up on our laps. This time, the update doesn't come from Ruka (the guy who released the latest update) nor YoyoFR and Laxer3a (the original coders of Snes9xTYL).
A patch was rolled out by davex, the same coder who did a number on CPS1PSP a few months ago. This patch builds on Ruka's recent release, so you better get that first before you decide to go any further. The whole download just might take around 1MB of your bandwidth time, but that 1MB surely would get far. davex incorporates two very useful features for the emulator:
- Quick save state [press RTRIGGER + SELECT] and quick load state[ RTRIGGER + START]
- Auto-fire [Available in CONTROLS main menu]

Can it do real sleep mode yet?
thats pretty sexy.
i hate this splash screen, please remove it
my most used homebrew.
1. REMOVE THAT ASININE SPEECH BEGGING FOR MONEY
2. REMOVE THAT ANIMATED INTRO
3. REMOVE THE NUMBERS FROM THE TOP LEFT OF THE SCREEN
That would be awesome
"This patch builds on Ruka's recent release, so you better get that first before you decide to go any further."
Yes, but before you recommend users do that and give them the link, realize that you took the link offline!

Just goes to show how some bloggers don't check things before they post, SOMETIMES. Anyone remember the garbage flood that QJ was experiencing not too long ago? With all those random articles about themes and such?
that is why, when you check out the link to the release of Ruka, you would have to follow the source link in that previous article. thanks for clarifying though, prime. just goes to show that our readers are also pretty observant when it comes to these things. we appreciate it.
can this play yoshi's island yet? or kirby superstars?
$me play the gba-version of Yoshis Island on gpsp gba-emulator. Runs like a charm with no problems whatsoever...
when I'm playing that game and try to do a special move by tapping L+R buttons, it always goes to the main menu; I try to fix the controls to change the buttons accordingly, but it does not allow for good play for that game and a few others. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time!! wrasslin noob
To any dev reading this - want to put a request in for future update. Super Metroid has black around objects throughout the game (like the ship when it flies in front of the planet or Ridley when he escapes with the metroid). The game is certainly playable and I could go the rest of my life eith it as-is...but if anyone can fix these small glitches, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your work!
Agreed - Just start the damn emu!
Its good to see they are adding pointless features to a solid emu. but lets not forget whats inportant at quejay its not the
quality of the articles that counts but the sheer volume of them that matters. Things like grammar and basic spelling can be ignored on this site.
I want it and I want it NOW! please...
I want it and I want it NOW!
Oh man, nothin real good about this! Mario Kart still runs slow as hell.
Too bad this emulator is real slow and glitchy. It's a shame how perfect PSX emulation is no problem at all but playing old SNES games seems to be asking too much of the PSP and developers.
This quick save/load thing crashes the **** out of this!
**** this I'm going back to the original.
I wish they would stop being whiny little cnts and stop shafting everybody for money. Nothing wrong with asking for a donation, but you're btching at people for not sending you a ***** load of money, forcing them to agree with their stupid letter, or just not play it. Well, that letter makes me not want to donate anything, and I never will because of that.
Quit begging for $10 "donations" or people just won't donate at all.
And if I did donate money (I wont), would I still have to sit through this retarded letter every time I start the emulator?
Word of advice, take out the donation letter and the crappy animation. Some people just want to jump in and play. Not see that BS every time.
im poor, 10$ plx :(
Wow, was this update really needed?

mario kar runs fine for me, and the ps1 thing shouldnt count as sony had made that. they could make anything run for the psp if they wanted.
PSP!!!
Just reconfig your controls. For instance, I set my controls so that start+select would bring me to the menu.
Try using a differend graphics engine.
like seriously, they shoulda just added something useful, like superfx support or actual sleep mode support.
Did anyone try playing Super Mario RPG yet? Is it still slow?
Here's an even better idea!!
1. STFU, if you don't like it....make your own emulator.
But I'd like to know as well.
thats right.
