PSPUAE

Ric has released another version of his PSPUAE Amiga 500 emulator for the PSP today, updating it to version 0.52. PSPUAE is one of the old time emulators, and has been around the PSP scene since June 2005! This version is simply a maintenance release for PSPUAE v0.51b, so don't expect to see any new features just yet; but do expect bug fixes and improved stability. Here's the changelog:

- Corrected 0 byte memory bug when loading/saving options
- Renamed the SAVESTATE folder to STATE
- Added 5 additional savestate slots
- Corrected some text strings

PSPUAE only works with firmware 1.5, so don't even bother trying it on any other!

» X-COM!

You're not the only one, dOOBER!! Can't frickin wait.

On that note, I haven't tried this emu yet... how fast does it run, anyway??

» Speed

So far Ive only tried this emu with Xcom and I cant get my hands on a working rom yet. The roms will load and i can start a game, but as soon as I enter a crash site, the emu crashes. Its prob my rom.

Its seemed to be running pretty slow. Normally when you make it skip hours in game, it moves pretty fast. I had to crank it up till it was skipping days, and it was moving like it was skipping hours.

» Bet you hasnt any kickfile. Get one! kickrom 1.3 is all you need.

Also, for the performers in game, try trixing around with the settings, many games could run very decent, with sound.

» Unable to run program

I too have the the same problem. It tries to load no error is diplayed it just returns to xmb. I have used other versions of this emulator successfully also.

» READ THE README

Noone ever reads the readme, I spent a long time on it. You aint got a Kick13.rom file or you aint renamed the kick.rom to kick13.rom
