PSPUAEDedicated workers Ric and Fol have updated their Amiga Emulator PSPUAE once again, bringing the application to 0.53. PSPUAE is one of the oldest emulators still alive and kickin' on the PSP; and it's getting more mature with every version. 0.53 comes with only one, albeit very important addition:

- Drive Speed option added (This helps alot with long loading games, it wont help with all)

This should provide a significant speedup with certain games. PSPUAE hasn't been tested (and isn't likely to work) on FW 2.0+, so be careful. Also, note that you will need a valid Kickstart ROM in order to use the emulator.

Really a great emu!

One of the best around. It's one hell of a job to port the Amiga to the PSP! Great work RIC!

sweet

Badass emulator! I like the drive speed option, however what the f*ck does this mean? "This helps alot with long loading games, it won't help at all." Amiga was the best home computer in the mid eighties to early ninetys! If only I could find a site to download Awesome (that's the game name.) Wings was also a really good game.

@ 11 - Mr Common Sense

Me thinks you need to get glasses, theres always 1, that has to pick on my posts or readme`s, I DONT DO SPELLING MISTAKES, i take my time to make sure it easy to understand, and what you posted "This helps alot with long loading games, it won't help at all." IS NOT what i have ever wrote or posted, and text above is taken from my post at pspuae.com and i never mention "AT ALL", I wrote "This helps alot with long loading games, it wont help WITH ALL" Meaning, some games just crash with turbo setting. Thanks Feark, nice use of my Compatability DB layout. That should help alot of peeps, as thats almost the config, I stay on for almost everything.

how to get 2.0 and 3.1 roms working

I can get the 1.3 ks rom booting no problem, but how do I tell it to boot with 2.0 or 3.1? I wanted to get workbench 2.1 going and couldn't because it needs ks 2.0. I tried putting ks20.rom and ks31.rom with ks13.rom (like the readme suggests) but it always goes to 1.3 it seems. If I try removing ks13.rom, the others don't get detected and pspuae just quits. Also, is there a way yet to access a folder as a hard drive? Was wondering what DH1 was under the floppy list. Anyway, great emulator!! Brings back memories of my 500 and 2000.

...make that 'nobster' Ok, so it was right there in the Options menu. I just didn't see it. Managed to get 2.0 booting, which is good enough so I can get WB1.2. I don't know which 3.1 rom it wants because mine didn't work, but it doesn't matter I'd still like to know if there's a virtual HD.

HD

The HD option, will more than likely be removed for now, as it seems to be problematic. Ric has added the code to use HD`s, but it keeps guru ing. I have tried lots of different configs and it just doesnt want to work. So dumping it for now, seems like a good idea, as it means improvements can be made elsewhere.
