PSPColem: A ColecoVision Emulator for PSP v1.0.5 |
Ó
I actually remember this gaming console! My brother and I usually fight about what game to play - I want to play Cabbage Patch Kids and he wants to play Zaxxon. Oh well, the days of my chillhood...sigh! That is why to me (and to lots of people), this is always welcome news! Zx-81 has again updated his homebrew emulator - the PSPColem. If you have no idea what this is, PSPColem is a Coleco Vision Emulator for the PSP. If you aren't familiar with Coleco Vision, it is a second-gen gaming console released by Coleco around 1982.
Anyways, going back to Zx-81's PSPColem, the updated version (v1.0.5) is only a minor update and according to the good homebrew developer, the new thing about this one is that he added second joystick support, and everything you have to know is in the README.txt file that is included in the file you are gonna download at...where else? DL.QJ!
There's always room for improvement when it comes to homebrew emulators, and surely, Zx-81 will appreciate constructive opinions and criticisms so that he can improve this emulator of his.

Man, I remember that game (the one in the screenshot), but I can't remember the name of it!
someone please help!! i'm dyin to play it!
Carnival ;)
oh yeah. thanks alot
p.s. 2.6 works great
anyone knows if you could play atari 2600 roms on it since you could on the real colecovision with ana dapter?
no 2600 rom support. i too was hopin.
since theres no working stella for 2.6
hopefully one of these great and talented devs will give us 2.6ers a working 2600 emu soon!
thanks, could you also btw tell me how to save states? and if future versions will allow for better screen fit or size options?
To save state, you enter in the emulator menu, choose a empty slot (or one you want to replace) and choose the save slot menu ... that's all ..
To restart a save state, you have first to load the rom, then to choose the slot to restore, and select the load slot menu ...
Thanks for all the updates, zx-81. The emulators you make keep getting better and better. What exactly are the changes in this version though? Is the speed-up issue fixed? Also, do you plan on including a screen re-sizing option in soon?
This is a minor update. I've added second joystick support in order to play multi-player games (you can toggle between first and second joystick in the emulator menu).
About the screensize, you can already fit to the max ... so i don't know what i can do more ? :)
Ahhh, okay. I didn't know you added the screensize option. The last version of Colem I downloaded was v.1.0.3, so you must have put it on the next version ( or unless it's already on 1.0.3 and I don't know how to change it.)
@11: In the emulator menu, you can toggle between render modes (normal, fit and x13 as far as i remember), using arrows ... ;)
Does it crash and require hard reboot for anybody else when you try to exit the emu? Suggestions?
