PSPAtari 1.0.7.irkb means you can use THIS with your PSP. - Image 1First off, Zx-81 is probably still on a well-earned break; this one doesn't come from him. But that's the magic of the GNU general public license: in his generosity in providing the source code to his GNU'd homebrew, other talented devs can bring the homebrew source forward with newer features and added support - properly crediting Zx where credit is due, of course.

So, after due props to Zx, now we have due props to PSP-Hacks' KangKengKingKong, whose taken his IR keyboard support capability in PSP IR Frotz and plugged it into Zx's PSPAtari v1.0.7. Enter PSPAtari v1.0.7.irkb, which mates Zx's Atari emulator with Targus Universal, Palm Universal, and Palm Wireless keyboards.

All necessary instructions are in the Readme_IR, which covers the necessary basics of installing and using the .irkb modification (README_IR does not include proper typing lessons, however; please consult your nearest trade school for such instruction). An important thing to note is that this current build only has code for FW 1.5 "at the moment." Probably implies that KangKengKingKong is working on an update so as not to shut out OE custom firmware users.

This allows you to use an infrared keyboard designed for Palm Pilots and similar devices with an Atari emulator, so you don't get sore thumbs. I suppose you could implement browsing support if you added it to links, but you can pretty much forget about the default browser unless you do some serious modification to it.

» Keyboard on PSPs Browser

I really dont need a keyboard for emulators.

What I DO need (and I think most people) is a keyboard to PSP web browser! It“s a pain in the as. to write on MSN Messenger with PSP!!! Really painfull!

With the basic support already done, can“t a OE be done with this input method???

Themes can be changed, USB/Speed can be changed, several firmware files can be changed and... keyboard support no?

Pleeeeeeeeeeeee ease make it available!!!

Keyboard support would be FANTASTIC and it would allow people to write a real MSN Messenger (specific program and not html ebuddy...), a word processor, etc etc!
