PSPAtari v1.0.2

Zx-81 recently released through our forums, an updated version of his PSPAtari emulator (v1.0.2.). It has only been more than a week since he has come up with a beta version of this emulator and now he has already produced an update! Now, that's hard work and we appreciate it!

So just what is new with this new version? According to the good developer, this is what you can expect from this one:
  • Sound support
  • Add various render modes (normal/fit/x1.25 ...)
  • Code cleaning and bug fix
  • New virtual keys
For more information on how to use it, don't hesitate to click on the README.txt file included in the download. He also wanted to tell you guys that sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license. Read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

Of course, there's always room for improvement. Surely your constructive observations, suggestions, and even criticisms will be welcomed by Zx-81.  So don't hesitate to speak your mind about it through your comments.

Does anyone know if this supports 5200 images? If so, how do you load them - if not, then I guess they can't be loaded.

@4: You have to load them using the original atari800 emulator menu (the yellow "Atari800 menu" option in the emulator window :)).

Then select "Cartridge management" then "Insert cartridge" and specify your disk image file, then choose the cartridge type 5200, and enjoy :).

and here we are again everybody

welcome to pspupdates - zx81's personal 'emulator' update page, because that seems to be what this site has become, latest news on really ***** t y emulators by the wank zx81

you've got to be a really bad geek to want to play any of this crap zx81 produces, it isn't nostalgic its rubbish, and an insult to any respectable psp owner, to think that they want to contaminate there psp with this!

before you give me toss coments back about this, i aint a kid i grew up with these consoles/computers the first time,

and lets face it you may as well get a pen and paper and play tic tac toe or hangman...

if you havent the ability to program something decent dont bother.

@ #8/FLai - Your opinion; your loss. I ain't a kid either and actually do enjoy playing these games from time to time.. sorry you don't feel the same way.

@ zx-81 - Thanks again for all your efforts. While I don't play them often; it's nice to know I can play the great games of the past.

Whatever happened to constructive criticisms? If you don't appreciate what Zx-81 did, then do your own homebrew emulator that tickles your fancy...This is a free world and you have every right to say what you please, but be sure that you could back it up with something tangible.

# From 4 & 8Guest 2006-06-18 09:04
From 4 - Thank you zx-81 for your development and support of this emu, it is greatly appreciated by many. Would appreciate a quick-load for 5200 roms on the main menu, but if that never happens, I’ll still appreciate how far you have come. From 8 - What's wrong with you? It's almost hard to dignify your comment with a response. I do not understand why QJ Net does not omit your entire comment as it serves no purpose here. You must be one lonely and empty person to take that kind time to spew your venom – may God love you…I’m sure no one else does.

# Thank you very much !!Guest 2006-06-18 22:01
Thanks a lot for a trip down memory lane. I still think that M.U.L.E. on the Atari 800 is among the best computer games of all times, especially in multiplayer mode (up to 4 people can play simultaneously) . So for this emulator adhoc multiplayer would be a dream come true for me. Maybe in future versions....

ZX81: you rock, thanks a lot for all your emu's !!
