PSP7800 v1.1.1 - better sound output - Image 1Homebrew developer Zx-81 has just rolled out a new build for his Atari 7800 emulator for Sony's PlayStation Portable, bumping it up to version 1.1.1. This is just a minor update compared to the previous build released just a couple of days ago that saw the addition of major features.

According to Zx-81, he saw it fit to release a new version because the sound was "too crappy" in PSP7800 v1.1. Aside from that, this particular iteration is essentially the same to the previous one. For those who missed our last coverage, we're posting again the changelog so you know what you're getting aside from better sound output:
  • Display and save thumbnail images for each save state
  • IR keyboard support (mainly for menu)
  • Add option to display fps rate
  • Option to prevent the blue led to be displayed when L or R are pressed
  • New psp clock option (it can now run at 133 Mhz)
  • New speed limiter function
  • New sound engine (always crappy but faster)
  • Import code from ProSystem version 1.2
As always, PSP7800 v1.1.1 comes with its own Readme.txt file containing details on installation and usage. Don't forget to browse through that first before doing anything to avoid having problems with your PSP.
