PSP homebrew - PSPKVM v0.5.4 Test 8 |
Ó
A new update for PSPKVM is now available courtesy of homebrew coders Sleepper, M@x and the rest of the dev team. PSPKVM is a port of SUN's phoneME Feature to enable MIDP/JavaME applications to run on the PSP. The latest test build release is identical to the previous test release but has added some new features and various improvements.
Changelog:
Version 0.5.4 Test 8:
This release is identical to test build 7, but adds the following:
- The Danzeff and semichordal boards now implement 'smart display' in which they move out of the way of input in large text fields as you type.
- Icons have been added to the configuration and network setup screens in an attempt to make this a little easier to use for non-English users, until we can get some translation going for these screens.
- Network setup has been overhauled, in an attempt to address occasional issues with lost connections that cannot be reestablished without a VM restart. In case of a lost connection, you should now be able to reconnect from the Wifi manager midlet, without restarting the VM. Please report whether this works for you in the shoutbox at http://pspkvm.org.
- The Danzeff display has been made slightly more compact as compared with the previous build.
- The readme has been updated and is now included with the binary packages.

What is the name of the game in the screen shot is called?? i wanna try it out, haven't used this KVM ever so if anyone here wants me to start using it, tell me the name of the game.
Plus, what other things can you use this thing for?? any good application programs that people in the [PSP DEVELOPMENT] community might have programed themselves for this KVM thing.
Also, it would be great for some one to mention some of the main programs that are the most popular that people, who use this "KVM" thing, use.
BTW please dont bash me for asking alot of questions/ acting like a n>i>g>g>e>r newb...
...
yes, i actually took the time to put those arrows in so teh word could NOT be censored... do not be alarmed...
HAHA!
What's the name of that game? It's called Google.
No seriously, learn to google.
I typed in "cell phone roller coaster game" and guess what popped up. Rollercoaster Rush

cause i'd know that it's a cellphone game... ftw on my part HHAHA
This homebrew mixed with IrShell is a great combination. I love being elsewhere and being able to chat on eBuddy, browse the web, and play a PSP game or watch a movie at the same time. The only thing this great homebrew is missing, is streaming capabilities. All in all though, this is great, and good job guys.
I can use the opera mini browser which had alot more features then the netfront browser on the psp and the new beta 5 has tabbed browsing. There is no more memory error too.
Ok I have an older version of this and absolutely love it. I use the opera mini and bolt browsers, and a sms app that allows me to txt msg from my psp too, now i want to update my pspkvm but i dont want to lose my browsers and my sms app. Can someone pls tell me exactly what i need to do to just update pspkvm and keep the other stuff? Sorry for bein noobish, I just havent done anything with it in a while , forgot whata what and dont want to screw anything up.

ok i downloaded this and in the zip/rar watever theres just a file called 27792_pspkvm_05 4_test8_slim and i dont know what to replace with it in my pspkvm folder. when i look at the files properties on my comp, the file type just says file. what do i do with this?
Unzipit
This thing is impossible to type on. How can you bring up the Sony OSK? I've selected it in the settings.
i did unzip it, im talkin about the file inside the zip
figured it out, if windows doesnt recognise the file inside the zip, just add tar.gz to the end of the filename and it will effectively become a zip/rar file.
You didn't even have to do all that. Just unzip it next time.
anyone know how to get the sound to work? This is a great program btw.
look for the line that says "#com.pspkvm.inputmethod" and remove the pound sign. Viola.
No, really i did try to unzip it with winrar, it didnt recognise the file inside the zip until i added the tar.gm or gz or watever to the end of the filename. this doesnt happen for everyone, some peoples comp recognises it as a zip file straight away, some not. i'm guessing i dont have the very latest version of winrar or something
