PSP homebrew developer lbicelyne is back again with another release of his FBA4PSP emulator. Originally ported by OopsWare to the PSP, FBA4PSP emulates MC680000/Z80-based arcade games, making them playable on the Sony PlayStation Portable.

Kov in FBA4PSP - Image 1Here's the changelog:
  • Kov2p and kov2p205 are well supported.
  • Kov2 etc. games state saving is supported
  • You can configure screen size in ini file.
  • A few other game drivers are added without test.
And here are the dev's release notes for this build:
  • martmast could not work due to arm emulation issue. Fixed in new driver. However, the new driver is too slow. So I didn't include it into this build
  • PGM game texture is incorrect somewhere.
  • Olds100a can not work.

» I hope this one gets up to speed!

I know a lot of people would love to play all those old SEGA System16 games on their PSP. Arcade versions of Golden Axe, Afterburner, Space Harrier, Altered Beast, Moonwalker (OK, maybe not Moonwalker) but everything else!

they all seem to run at about 15fps with a 3-4 frameskip.

I hope the author of this can squeeze more power out of the PSP.. or perhaps get in contact with NJ and learn his secrets for getting CPS1, CPS2, and Neo-Geo games at full speed!
