Homebrew coder Kreationz and the rest of the DaedalusX64 is back to release another round of update for DaedalusX64, the Nintendo 64 emulator for the PSP. The latest revisions has been released by the team to make the homebrew more stable and to fix some unwanted bugs.

Developers note:

Upgrade Procedure: Grab the link and unzip it. Delete all *.hle files(in SaveGames) as well as preferences.ini and rom.db from your memory stick. These files (*.hle, rom.db, and preferences.ini) are rebuilt when you use the software and are version specific. Then you can copy it to your current folder on your PSP and overwrite all the old files. Now you are guaranteed to be starting fresh.

Changelogs:

  • Rev 427 [~] Forgot a couple of things.
  • Rev 426 [!] FlatShade and ViewPortHack should use flags to compare.
  •         [+] Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter and Tigger's Honey Hunt will use DoubleDisplay.
  • Rev 425 [!]Reworked Double Display Lists, it is now enabled in roms.ini on a per rom basis as needed to prevent breaking roms

.

These alphas aren't meant to be distributed to the masses as they are still buggy. The only reason they are put up on the daedalus website is for testing purposes (to find bugs and report them). The next build that's meant for distribution will be beta 3.

yeah, still buggy.

QJ, don't start putting up little revision updates like that pointless JPCSP thing. i don't wanna keep updating my memory stick 4 times a week for Daedalus. xP

SO What

Do update us as they come. Keep them coming.
by b-k24 - 2009-08-09 13:02:52
lol yea

that jpcsp is crap..dx64 is a real emulator making good and fast improvements that actually make sense.

JPCSP

Is the only regularly updated windows Psp emulator because it's so hard to emulate Psp so i'm happy to see every update but Daedalusx64 won't advance much further than it is now because they already pushed the Psp close to it's technical limits.

Little update?

This update is anything but little, as it got a 10% speedup

Not Cool

It's not nice to call something that someone else has spent so much time on "crap." Your mother should have taught you better manners. Remember that all this non -SONY, PSP related software is free. If you start paying for it, then you can complain away. Otherwise shush.

Getting more stable all the time

Hey! Zelda's Birthday is looking good. You can see the outside of the Temple of Time now.

To PinCushin

Just because someone doesn't like some other emulator it doesn't mean that other people don't like it. Sure, I personally like the n64 emulators better, but others such as jpcsp are also enjoyed by other people. Liking one emulator over another doesn't means it crap because that's just an opinion.

.

So, is SSB64 better now? The last version of Daedalus I tried was strmnnrmn's last official release.

Its not like you have to...

Don't update it if you don't want to. However since there hasn't been news for a while I think this is a much needed post. If you want to update it all the time like I do you can go to daedalusx64.com and go to the Daedalus PSP board.
