Wow! Once again, nothing but a pre-exploited PBP. What do you authors have against the orginal PBP?

Does anyone happen to have the source code or the orginal PBP????

Well done, good speed, but one question...
what about roms that are bigger than 16mb?!
the psp hangs up during loading and returns to main menu (exiting psp gba) ?!

thanx

Heh i'm guessing they put a cap on how many people can download one file at a time either that their putting up the file as we speak right now and is taking a little longer. Just be patient we'll be able to download when ready or when there is less people trying to download the file.

congrats and all but this is still painfully slow. They shouldnt bother releasing these updates cos theyre not worth running. You certainly cant play roms with them.
Wait till a decent speed has been acheived then boom! hit us.....
Props to the author so far tho..

Time for Good News, Bad News.

Good news: It RUNS on 2.00 under the v0.8 EBOOT loader.
Bad news: It crashes when you try to open a ROM. At least, it did when I tried to load a 22MB ROM.

nightrose, there is no v0.8 EBOOT loader yet, the last one was 0.7...unless the other sites haven't gotten word of it yet.

Chris, there IS a "GBA Size" screen option, check it out :P

Btw, Nice work, u can really notice the speed difference, if u keep this rate up it'll be in a near 100 speed in no time, great job man, can't wait for next update, since, i for one, am the kind of person that can't play w/o their beloved game music :P

Keep up the good work PSP298!!

Hey...great work man. Thanks a lot for the emu update.

A request: could you put a 'show fps' option in the menu? It'd be great to see how the speed changes with each update in more concrete numerical terms.

Also, please continue working on increasing graphics acceleration instead of working on sound. Sound is a wonderful aspect that one can't play without..for too long. But without the right speed no matter how much music or sound there is a game will be totally unenjoyable.

Again, thanks for the emulator.

Now is the psx and gba both 32bit capable? If so, where is our psx emulators. PS. This Emulator rocks.

just out of curiosity...does this use the PSP's GU at all? because i remember the SNES being slow, but when using the PSP's GU it was 100% or close.

Yes, the GBA and PSX are 32-bit, but they are completely different. For starters, PSX has 3d rendering, MDEC, XA sound..All very hard to emulate. I wouldn't expect a (working, not just 1fps in a demo) PSP PSX emulator anytime soon, if at all.

BM03,

are you referring to 'GBA original size (240x160)' on the menu screen?

if you compare THAT screen with actual GBA screen, then the one on PSP is considerably smaller. I believe the 'original' screen size is as same as the one from VBA emulator.

I wish that he would make something that's between supposedly GBA screen and Full Screen (3:2) because former is kinda small yet Full Screen shows too much of pixels.

If there's something I do not know, then please let me know.

Right now, games like Hikaru no Go2, or Love Hina is playable.

Once again, this is a great leap from the previous version and I can't wait for the next version.

yea i think the next time speed will be at 100% or hopefully close to it and sound will be fixed. all i really want to do is play Fire Emblem but it still runs a lil slow but faster than the last time. GJ GUYS!

If he tried blurting out more than a couple sentences I'd think he'd pass out from lack of periods or commas. You know...they exist for a reason b18.

b18, if you can make one that is better then do it, otherwise, do not complain. It is free and a labor of love from the programmer's part, so take it as it is.

It is because of comments like yours that many a project got canned or stopped.

Ok, tried to test several games (6 to be precise) but aprently those plus themu were large enough to fill up my 60 megs of space...

so I cut it down to 3 games...

The only one not to work was Riviera-The Promised Land...

It starts for like a split seocond and goes to a starnge screen with static!

(imagine bars of the static you get when chainging your TV channel instead of your Cabell or Sattalite channel)

~other games run exceptionally!~
