PicoDrive for PSP v1.35b - bugfixes and major feature added |
Ó
Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer notaz has been hard at work with his PSP port of the Genesis/Sega CD Emulator, PicoDrive for PSP. Much like the last version, this new release (upped to version 1.35b) also sports some bugfixes and a couple of new features.
In case you haven't had the chance to check out notaz' previous releases, here's a bit of a primer. PicoDrive is a multiple platform Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and Sega Mega-CD emulator. Anyway, let's take a look at the changelog:
- mp3 code should no longer fail on 1.5 firmware.
- added gamma adjustment option.
- added .cso ISO format support. Useful for non-FMV games.
- it is now possible to force a region after the ROM is loaded.
- fixed a sram bug in memhandlers (fixes Shining in the Darkness saves).
- fixed another bug in memhanlers, which crashed the emu for some games (like NBA Jam and NHL 9x).
- added suspend/resume handling for Sega CD games.
- some other small tweaks I forgot about.
Check out the download below. Don't forget to go over the readme for more info about PicoDrive for PSP. Enjoy!
Thanks to Darknight88 for the tip!

You Made One Of My Homebrew Dreams Come True LOL I remember awhile back someone on another Forum Said It Was Impossible and I Almost believed Em'
The 2nd link is the same as the first. where is the slim 3.xx version...?!?
Yeah, both links are for the kxploit version. 3.xx version available?
I hope the author keeps up the good work. This is shaping up to be one of the best emulators available for the PSP, period.
Demonsweat i agree with you Sega CD FTW
Bonsoir la communauté Merci beaucoup Notaz et QJ de faire passer l'info.
both of the links are the same kxploit, i just download it on the other site sorry qj
Anyone know how to do this? UMDGen has a fit if I try and use it for the conversion
Ciso utility does the job fine, just fine. P.S. The CSOs seem to load a lot quicker than zip files (especially noticable in SonicCD where you're loading a new level every 2 seconds
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=22061&d=1196029908 DCEMU have the non 1.5 firmware version @ the above link ;)
Use this tool: http://www.savefile.com/files/1226212 Just select ISO > CSO and browse to the Sega CD ISO image. I don't think it's necessary to edit the .cue if there is one. In fact, I deleted the .cue file from my copy of Sonic CD and it still ran fine with music and everything.
